In the 1980's my biggest pet peeve was women who could not  differentiate between good manners and sexism. Now I would think it would be cell phone "Behaviour".

And I forced you to listen to me as I tested my new Bluetooth & repeatedly gave it verbal commands while calling someone ;D

I've since learned, just because I have the Bluetooth connected doesn't mean I can't manually push a phone number-thank goodness cuz that sure was embarrassing.

Our very own Cason Murphy acquitted himself very well as the Emcee – in fact, he outshone everyone else in the show.

I guess I should get going, too. I have to unlock this morning, as the minister is off job-searching (probably).

Also smokers who throw their used cigarette butts out the car window or just toss them on the ground.

I have seen some of the signs you have posted in public restrooms:

PLEASE DO NOT THROW YOUR CIGARETTE BUTTS IN THE URINAL!

THEY GET WET AND SOGGY, AND ARE HARD TO LIGHT!

I was having a good night of sleep until a nightmare woke me up, and I'm afraid I must put the blame for the nightmare on director Hiroshi Teshigahara. After watching WOMAN IN THE DUNES last night, I dreamed I was in a sand dune with another guy (no one from the movie), and we were smoothing out the sand with our hands. All of a sudden, as he was shifting the sand with his right hand, it fell off his wrist and was just lying there in the sand. He continued moving sand around with the end of his wrist, and I just sat there and stared at that unmoving hand in the sand.

Hand in the Sand - a good novel title perhaps?

Sounds like a metaphor for a Seaside Bris.

Pet Peeve: anyone who stops dead in his tracks (grocery store, in traffic, walking on a narrow street) because he's so involved in a cell phone conversation that he notices nothing around him that he's interferring with.

Not in LA - they just keep on talking and driving!

Another pet peeve. Especially in Florida.

Driving.
People single to turn right and then turn left.

People cut in front of you at a red light so they go before you

Driving from lane to lane with out singling on the 1-95

Not to mention retirees expiring at the wheel!

Haven't heard from Miss Taylor about our meeting yet, and I hope I do soon, as I'd like it to be sooner than later.

BK -from yesterday - comments?

I wonder if BK had his spoon in this pot:

I just finished watching the the movie in HD on Comcast on Demand - a beautiful film with a simply gorgeous Goldsmith score. I could watch Sean Connery and Lorraine Bracco swing through the Amazon treetops to Goldsmith's "TREES" for hours.

My parents and brother are coming over any minute, so once they get here, I'll be E&T for the rest of the afternoon at least.

Have we mentioned that DIP can be used as the letters by which phone numbers starting in 347 (a relatively new New York area code) can be "remembered" as a mnemonic device?

My father sometimes pretends to drop food accidentally, as long as he knows the food is dog-safe.  Toby and Dylan seem to consider him a favorite guest.  I'm sure the two matters are unrelated.

Nebraska Archdiocese Sues Nun Accused of Stealing Church Funds
Sunday , July 01, 2007
 OMAHA, Neb. —

In addition to a lawsuit against a nun accused of stealing church money, the Omaha Archdiocese has filed more lawsuits against her and some family members.

In April the archdiocese sued Sister Barbara Markey in an effort to recover $820,000 the archdiocese says she stole as director of the archdiocese's Catholic Family Life Office.

I wonder if the sister is an Email friend of DearReaderLaura?

Good afternoon!  I'm up, alive and feeling fabulous.  Yesterday was a long but fun day.  I spent many hours sititng in the shade and sipping beer while listening to good music and having some fun conversations.   Every year my friends do something fun in their front yard, which is a path to the festival.  This year it was ribbons with thoughts on them The rules were something profound, profane or mundane...which of course means anything.  It was quite fun seeing total strangers come up on the porch to write their thoughts and tie them to a stick.

One of my favorites was "some idiot made me write something on this stupid ribbon"
