B.B. King sounded great, but he did have a bit of trouble getting around and performed while sitting on a chair. He did some jokes about it.  He made it very clear that he will perform until he can't anymore. I'm really glad I went back and saw him.

Well I think I'll go do some secret shopping with the card I got from my favorite store today.  I like this secret shopping stuff. Free stuff for filling out a form and rating performance. Too bad this is my last trip for this company.  I also have my B & N gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket and I'm thinking a trip to Sams Club for office supplies and stuff to put in the freezer may be in order.

Today would have been Princess Diana's 46th birthday.  She would have been 11 days older than I am. I may tune into the concert for a while tonight.

TOD:

I, too, am annoyed at much cell phone behavior, especially loud talking while in public, with no consideration for those nearby.

While grocery shopping I come across many people who leave their shopping carts in the middle of the aisle, oblivious to others.

No one's mentioned the charities that phone. They're exempt, of course, from the DO NOT CALL list. I so loathe these calls that I refuse to give any money to any organization that does this.

It is nice reading about your perfect, in-between jobs weekend.

LOL-I should have mentioned his bad hair day.  He has a rash in his ears & the cortisone ointment we put on the rash made the hair stick out.  No matter what I did I couldn't get it to stay down.  Keith thought is was cute.

Singdaw thank you.  We hesitated taking him when we found out he had only one blue eye. The majority of people who meet him love the look.

It is funny how often we are told "he has two different colored eyes".  What do you say to that-lol.

I meant to mention something about the other night's NYC HHW gathering.  It is a slightly surreal experience, at least for me, meeting people in person that you feel you already know from online.  Those I had not already met I recognized instantly from their avatars [or, in DR Rodzinksi's case, from previously posted photos from other gatherings!].  In any case, the feeling soon vanishes, as the folks turn out to be pretty much what you'd expect from getting to know them online - wonderful, talented, outgoing, and warm that they are!  :)

I don't know, but I'm sure some DR can come up with a pithy, appropriate rejoinder for that situation!   :)

Hi DR Jane.... Hi dear StingDing......

I'm just popping in for a very brief moment to say "hello," and then I have to run to an errand very soon.  I got home safely, got Sugar picked up this morning first thing, and finally unpacked my suitcase a little while ago.  I couldn't even bother with it when i got home yesterday.

Dear DR Laura was a very kind champ and gave me a ride from the airport to my house last night..... THANK YOU LAURA !!  :)

Hi Music Guy.  I'm sure spending time with Sugar was more important than unpacking, & it was late.

OK...I'm going to power down now to try to save my laptop battery.  I've never really tested it, but I have a feeling it doesn't last too long without being plugged in.

In any case...

Smooches, kids!
