I have returned from the hilarious road trip, THE ROAD TO QATAR!, which has changed much from the reading I saw a couple of years ago. It's now a tight 90-minute one act show, cleverly staged and cast, and excellently performed. Two men and one woman play a large variety of roles from Arab terrorists to the Bratislava opera chorus and they are a complete hoot. The two standins for David Krane and Steve Cole in this funny telling of their 2005 adventure in Qatar writing the musical ASPIRE are also wonderful as a cross between David and Steve and Bob Hope and Bing Crosby. Yes, the Road in the title is also a reference to Hope and Crosby. I laughed a lot and had a wonderful time.
