Good morning, all! I actually got around 7.5 hours of sleep last night, although around 5:15 am I had another round of pacing from the floor above me. I'm starting to wonder if it's not the Oaf but a ghost. About five minutes ago the weirdest thing happened in my apartment. A sliding door on one of my closets suddenly and loudly made a noise as if someone had lifted it at an angle and then let it hit the floor hard. I looked at it and it was still vibrating and I have no idea what caused the activity but it was most bizarre. I may have to call "Ghost Hunters" in.
So, today I've got scheduled two comedy duets, Daniel Marcus & Ron Raines and Daniel Marcus & George Dvorsky, along with a few solos by George and an afternoon session with mezzo-soprano Rosalie Sullivan, who's singing a couple of numbers from Herbert's first operetta, PRINCE ANANIAS, and some lieder.
The ladies ensemble was really excellent yesterday. We had two opera students from Manhattan School of Music, courtesy of my beloved Dona D Vaughn, with Elizabeth Inghram from WHERE's CHARLEY? at Goodspeed and Laura Daniel, the Singing Nun from THE TRAGIC AND HORRIBLE LIFE AND DEATH OF THE SINGING NUN. They were the chorus to Sara Jean's "Tell Me, Daisy," and the whole shebang came off wonderfully. I'm hoping today and tomorrow go as well. Thanks for the vibes and please keep them coming!
