I got the book (from the library) of JULIE & JULIA. Hopefully it will be good.

I also took out (which i will read first) the new follow-up book to the NANNY DIARES called THE NANNY RETURNS.

I went to a family dinner last night at a large popular restaurant (which was totally packed).  We were in a large group and they put us in this separate rather cramped room beside the bar.

I could see some people loving this (much quieter and more private).  But my first thought was that i was going to be sick!  I am claustrophobic and the walls were very close to the table.

The weird thing was my mom was there and she sort of laughed when i expressed my concern (and obviously she should know if i'm claustrophobic).

Anyhow luckily i took the end seat (that led into the bar). So i was mostly okay.  It was just so weird. You don't expect to have to deal with claustrophobia in a huge restaurant!

Waiting for something...not sure what.  Retirement, perhaps?  Sigh.

Very much in the mood for a nap.

THIN BLOODED VIBES FOR GINNY (or something like that).

ELMORE--take it from someone who knows, try some of the natural cholestorol remedies, notably plant steros (like in Promise Active "butter").  They really work.  I brought my levels down from "you should be dead by now" to "how the hell did you do that?" in very little time.

My CD just arrived in the mail but I haven't opened the carto yet. I can spot Kimmel print a mile away!

So here's today's news: my blood tests were all fine except for my cholesterol which has gone from very good to bad. Dr Munshi and i are styied since I have not changed my diet, as I can recall, and I need to figure out what I've done. We're going to check it again in three months before she decides whether or not to put me on meds for it. Otherwise, all tests were great and I'm very happy with everything else. I have my referrals for the rheumatoid specialist, I've got my eye exam scheduled, and npow I have to do is sell that damned property in Ohio. Send some vibes, please!

~~~Lower Cholesterol and Property Selling Vibes for DR Elmore!!~~~
DITTO!!!
Be extra careful the week before you re-take the test.  you might have eaten a special treat or two before your last test.
Keep those real estate vibes coming! I appreciate the ones I've gotten so far.
Thanks, DR JMK for the advice. I need to get back seriously on my walking regimen and lose the weight i put on over the holiday.
DR Ginny - What color are the socks? Are they the type with the "grip" nubs on the bottom?
i came home with blue ones that have been great with all our hardwood floor.  without them i might very well have slipped, especially the 1st month when i was so wobbly.  they have multiple holes in them so now i only use them when i do my stretches that put me at risk of slipping & injuring my arm.
DR Jose - my new socks are a pretty mint green and, yes, they are non-slip.
nicer than my blue.  sherlock is very fond of them & tries to sneak up & steal them when he thinks i'm not watching.;D
ginny, i wore them over my regular comfortable socks.
A co-worker just has his retirement party.  His last day of work will be Saturday.  This year, I officially have 23 years in, and I probably have another 23 years (to get my full retirement benefits)!  I'm half-way there!
JMK - disappointing to hear - certainly the caps I first saw would have led me to that conclusion, but then the subsequent caps I saw were better.  I'll have it next Monday.
I've been writing away - have only done about seven or eight pages so far but had to go get some food.  I'll continue now.  This little part is slow going because it's more typing up reviews and articles and stuff.
It's not horrible by any means, it's noticeable mostly in the fleshtones.  While everything is, yes, slightly yellowish, the reds especially pop nicely.  I forgot to pay attention--was this Warnercolor?  It has that look to it.
Thanks, DR Laura!  My leg actually started hurting last Wednesday and I'd decided to give it the weekend.  When it still hurt this morning, I knew something was wrong.
Greetings from the atrium of Atrium Medical Center, where I'm waiting to be admitted.  Yes, the doctor sent me directly here for an ultrasound which detected a blood clot.  I don't know too many details, but am not a happy camper.
Hang in there!
Does this mean I should take my PLAVIX?
