Finessed, printed, Xeroxed (and am having the Xerox place to the complete book spiral bound for me to do the initial proofing before I get it to my two official proofers), and pages delivered.  Muse Margaret doesn't think she'll be able to read all of it in one day, so I probably won't hear from her until tomorrow.  In the meantime, here is a preview of the new book:

DR Jane, I finished CATCH ME by Lisa Gardner last night. Really liked it.

Only one question. Which of her other books have you read? I think you're up to date on the D.D Warren series? But have you read any of the FBI Profiler series? The reason I ask is that a few characters from her other books appear briefly in this book. Quincy and his daughter (from the FBI Profiler series) talk to D.D over the phone. But they mention stuff about their lives/relationships that could be considered minor spoilers for that series if you haven't read it.

I'm glad you enjoyed CATCH ME.  I've read the rest of the series.  Should I read her other books?

If you've read the rest of the D.D. Warren series then that should be enough. I think you would really enjoy the FBI Profiler series (i really liked it).
Just be warned that other characters from her other books appear in Catch Me.  Specifically in reference to the FBI Profiler series D.D has a conversation with Quincy and his daughter. They do mention a couple of small things about relationships and kids. So if you really don't like knowing these types of details and you plan on reading the FBI Profiler series ...

It isn't all that important, however reading the books might be fun.  I'll see if the first one is available as an eBook.

DR Jennifer if I begin with THE PERFECT HUSBAND will that help before I read CATCH ME?  How many of the series do I need to read before CATCH ME?

The first half of our trip was rather wet.  The problem with leaving winter here is we encounter the rainy season there.

Note the incredible blue of the water.

And I am home from the reading. Jonathan's orchestrations are quite wonderful, and I find my reaction to hearing the score again for the first time in thirty  years is about the same as it was then: a couple of wonderful songs ("Not A Day Goes By" "and "Good Thing Going"), half of a good number ("Old Friend") and a lot of hostile dissonant drivel. Then along came "Our Time" and, just as it happened in the fourth preview and final performance of the original production, I found myself in tears, for friends I've not seen in years, for Steve sonfdhheim who got my arrangement of the song published, and for growing old.

Rob Berman, as seems to be usual, was prepared and fantstic; it was great to visit with my dear friend Leigh Beery, Mrs Jonathan Tunick, my adopted son Joshie did a fantastic job copying the socres, and it was nicve to see other friends as well. Still, I wish I liked the show more than I do, but it gets to me.

DR JRand61, it's great your package arrived so quickly. Enjoy.

I love to listen to the CD DR ELMORE.

A friend of mine - Judy Chew - was the SM or ASM for the original production way back when.  Maybe she was already Judy McFarland by then....I don't remember.

Otherwise...

Today has been a catch-up day for me.

I caught up some sleep this morning.

Then I spent a few hours this morning entering more important and pertinent dates into my calendar.

Then it was off into the wiles of the Big City to run a few errands.

I've been weeding mp3 files out of my iTunes; I'm running out of computer memory on my hard disck because I have 63,000 tracks downloaded. I wonder if the computer could play continuously for 157 days without dying? The neighbors would hate me.

DR elmore - I bought an external hard-drive exclusively for my iTunes Music Library. If you don't want to drag a good chunk of your Music files to the Trash Can, an external hard-drive would be an easy and not too expensive solution.
