Good Afternoon!

In the meantime, I've been catching up with this week's "True Blood" via the HBO On Demand.  WOW!  -And I love that each new episode picks up right where the previous one ended.

Isn't it addictive! Just like V!!

I watched last night's THE SHIELD while eating lunch. Wow! Only 4 more episodes ever for the show, and I was on the edge of my seat at least twice during this episode. What a sensational final season!

I don't believe so. I can't even think of where Union Creek is located.

Next, I finished the episode of STREETS OF SAN FRANCISCO with Ida Lupino and Don Stroud that I had started yesterday. Also, playing her son, was Charles Martin Smith.

In this set, I've seen actors on the verge of break-out success: Tyne Daly, Larry Wilcox; in the episodes I've seen today were a very young Nick Nolte and Lola Falana.

As far as bigger names in the business, in today's episodes were Celeste Holm, Claude Akins, Barry Sullivan, and Glenn Corbett. I got 3 1/2 episodes watched today, so that leaves me three left in the set which I'll do tonight.

Did y'all know that the ABC Stage 67 version of  Truman Capote's A CHRISTMAS MEMORY is finally available on DVD?  At last!  I've been watching a shaky blurred VHS recording (only recently burned to DVD) for years.  No matter how this has been transferred it will be a vast improvement over what I've been annually watching.

MBarnum, Union Creek is referred to as the gateway to Crater Lake.  If you have been to Prospect, or driven to Crater Lake from Medford, then you have been there.

DR Ginny, again CONGRATULATIONS TO DH RICHARD!  Thank you for the ceremony report :)

Thank you, DR Jane!  There will be photos, but not until we get back to Ohio because I forgot the cable to connect my camera to the computer.

Did I mention that the fall colors are spectacular here in SE Wisconsin?

Dove's as game animals? That just seems so wrong. Aren't Doves the symbol of peace?

I agree with you.

The Federal Wildlife Service says:

The mourning dove is the most hunted migratory game bird in North America, and dove hunting is a popular sport in many parts of this country.

Go figure - and who eats pigeon pie?

DR Elmore - I'm sorry your November plans for Ohio have fallen through.  On the bright side, though, if you wait until 2009 I'll be retired and have time to cook a meal for you!

I didn't realize cranberries were off-limits too, so... Of course, I bought some Cranberry-Pom juice yesterday, and a pack of trail mix granola bars that contain cranberries.  So guess what I've been eating lately?  -Heck, at least I've been consuming lots of anti-oxidants the past couple of days.

I'm going to write for a little while and then head back to San Francisco to help solve the last three cases for their second season.

Uh-huh, and keep a supply of bandaids handy, because even a paper cut or torn cuticle can bleed like crazy!

Well, I've monopolized this library computer long enough.  Although, I've pretty much had the room to myself.  Right now, Richard is across the room reading the newspaper and Rob is across the table from me.  They're about to come around to close the library, but will tell us that it's OK to stay and let ourselves out.  That's so weird.

I've been to Prospect. We were towed from Crater Lake to Prospect to get our camper repaired. We're pretty sure it was Santa that was the tow truck driver.
