DR RLP - I have seen CSI MIAMI.....but I have not seen UGLY BETTY because I usually watch THE OFFICE and MY NAME IS EARL and I don't have the newfangled doo dad that will allow me to watch it on my own time....perhaps during some of the rerun season.

So true, DR JOSE....my internet bio of Miss Allison Hayes is languishing at almost midpoint until I decide to go back to it.....

As for the Tony Nominations...

I knew that Grey Gardens and Spring Awakening were locks in the Best Musical category, and that the remaining to slots could go either or any way.  And it looks like they did.

I'm actually very happy with the nominations.  Even though some favorites were left out - Kristin Chenoweth, Harold Prince, Pirate Queen (NOT!) - I don't feel there are any shocks.  The shocks, if any, will come the night of the ceremony.  *I would have been surprised is LoveMusik had snagged a Best Musical nom.

And I'm glad that Journey's End received the nods that it did.  And I hope that it wins the Tony for best Revival of a Play.  And it would also be neat to see Boyd Gaines take home another one too.

As for the Tony Nominations...

Our own Alliance Theatre in Atlanta (where SISTER ACT was staged) wins the regional theatre Tony Award!

I made a trip to Lowes to purchase some necessary home repair items. And somehow I injured myself talking on the cell phone. I had some items in my arms when the phone rang, and I guess I had my arm in a funny position whilst I carried on my conversation. When I extended my arm again, yow! my arm cramped up. It is still tender. Perhaps the motions of painting will help to loosen it up.

BK - I believe Matin Short's show was up for all the regular musical categories (hence, Brooks Ashmanskas' nomination for Featured Actor) as opposed to Special Event, following the precedent set by Chita Rivera's show last year.

I meant Martin Short, not Matin Short.  Matin Short is some little French guy.  :)

RE: the Tony noms

I was surprised that LEGALLY BLONDE was not nominated for Best Musical and that Kristin was not nominiated for Lead Actress in a Musical.

I am surprised they are having the Tony Awards again...didn't they just do the same thing last year?

BK - Skip's work on Herringbone is taking him a little longer than expected, and must be done by next Monday.

He's done a lot of what you've mentioned on that mixing, but is it OK if it's not done until the end of next week?

Phone call for Jerry Falwell:

Is he dead?  Last I heard he was just "unresponsive".

Well...  The cookies are baked and cooled.  Almost.  And since she's running late, she's leaving everything out on the counter - the bowls, the cookie sheets, the rolling pin, etc....  Along with a note on the fridge, "Sorry for the mess.  I'll finish up baking when I get home tonight."

-Of course, she won't be back until 9:30pm.  Seven and a half hours from now.  Hmm...

Now, I really don't mind cleaning and washing dishes.  Really I don't.  And I don't ming being asked to clean up - especially if someone is on a tight schedule.  That can happen.  But to leave a mess on the counters and a note of the fridge while I'm sitting ten feet away... And she knows that I could be home all day... Well... ???

In any case, I'll clean up.  Heck, it's something to do.  And with all the sprinkling sugar that ended up on the floor, I need to sweep that up before the ants come back.  And they will come back.

Reading what Falwell did to Jim & Tammy made me like him even less than I ever did.

Perhaps you could suggest she use her Easy Bake oven next time,  DR JOSE.

Are you wearing any of your new clothes?  Have you heard how your friend's audition went?

DR RODZINSKI nows works in Manhattan...I am assuming it is still at PLAYBILL.

Reminds me of a joke:

A Sargent says to one of his discharged privates, "Well now that you are out of here, I bet that you can't wait for me to drop dead so you can come to my funeral and spit on my grave."

And the private says, "No, sir!  I made a promise to myself that when I got out of the army, I would never stand in any long lines again."

As for my new clothes - They're still sitting nicely folded on my dresser.

As for my friend's audition - I guess I'll hear something tonight.

As for DR Rodzinski's work situation - I believe he started back at the place he was at before he went to Playbill.  However, I believe he'll still be doing the "Leading Men" column for Playbill.com.  I believe.  *Playbill.com also just posted a job listing for a new full-time staff writer in their Queens office, so....
