Rachel York was reportedly a smashing Dolly Levi in a Massachusetts production of HELLO DOLLY at Reagle Players.

Francois - Eduardo in that last link seems to be following my book on diet tips.  :)

He might be reading it upside down too!

(His wife-to-be is quite slim.)

Disneyland Musical Marriage Proposal

Now, this is definitely Disney "streetmosphere", but, if the young couple IS a true couple, that means Disney is making more big bucks from that and i find this most ... disgusting and "cheap"!

I think it is a great marketing idea, come to Disneyland and have your proposal filmed. ;D

Once I saw Rachel Levi in "Dolli York" but that's completely irrelevant, as Oscar Levant would have said! ;)

Ain't Rachel York a tad young to play Dolly Levi?!

I heard she lives in New Rachel......

SWEET :)  I think both are sincere, just very different styles.  This one seems more private & romantic.

"Sincere" ... with Disney performers singing, dancing and a soundtrack that fits the lyrics that the fiancé ... knows, while most of it is filmed from the rooftops?

It's all set up!

Tell me, do all "proposed" women look as stupid as that pretty girl who's so made up and looks quite phony to me!

They all are Disney performers and it's all staged and choreographed! It's obvious!

I still remember my sweet proposal & still smile at the thought of it.  Only in So. California could a February proposal be at the beach.  It was 2 days after we graduated high school, we were sitting on the sand when Keith looked up and asked me to marry him.  I didn't even say yes, just "Of course".  Back then there wasn't any question of what you do when you are in love, at least in my mind. :)

Later it was a shock when his parents weren't thrilled their 17 year old son was engaged.  I think my parents just went into shock.

I will admit wondering the entire time if it was for real. I figured if it wasn't the girl would also have begun singing & dancing.

RE SHOW GIRL....since I will not hear the Radio Show until tomorrow.....did Miss Judy Garland comment on Ms Channing's Bluebird song/impression?  ...that you know of.

The Inside Story is one of the funniest things I have ever heard....certainly the funniest sketch I have heard from Ms Channing....

He:   Yes, I like your ami, dear,

I'm up.  Once again, I decided not to get out of bed when the loud noises began at seven (of course, seven is always the loudest - once an hour goes by, then the loudness dissipates a bit).  So, I'm up, have read through various and sundried e-mails and shall maybe do the long and/or shorter jog.

This might be a dumb suggestion, but have you ever tried ear plugs?  I used some at the concert i went to on Canada Day and they really help.

That's what I posted about the other day but there was NO reaction at all; I guess everyone was "listening" to me with their ear plugs on! I mean:
EAR PLUGS!! :D

François, I assume that know one responded when you mentioned it, because it was only meant for BK.
