Well, I'm feeling a little better. I've been up and asleep then up then asleep so many times I'm not sure what day or time it is!

I do know that I am very stressed about this whole new house thing and the negotiating going back and forth over fixing what came up in the inspection. I have learned that I'm very good at negotiating for other people, but when it's about me.....oh boy, I'm a wreck! LOL....

Yup. Just finished Owen Meany in time for Christmas. It took me awhile to read. Let's put it this way:  For TPunk's birthday last January, one of my presents was that I had bought the book and started reading it. This Christmas, one of her presents was the book with the bookmark at the end!

I did not read continuously through the year, mind you. The book is like 600 pages, and has many rewards. For TPunk's birthday in a couple weeks, I will complete this line of gifting by giving her a 5-page book report on the book.

JMK-
Yes, the Pagels book. Now I'm wondering how many other books we both have!

JRand-
Matthew's Eleanor, gee I think she's swell.

I'm sure he'll be back at your store too. He really dug that volcanic crystal.

In keeping with the word of the day, a great film is Ken Loach's WAS. It is the sad tale of a poor British boy and his wastrel hawk.

(I want to nominate this ahead of time for most obscure word of the day pun of 2006.)

Wonderful film - the only time I really needed some subtitles in a UK film I think!!
GREAT pun.

Of course there was song in Mary Poppins about a member of the Wastrel family.

Five days down, seven to go.

Shayne: Can't remember the font name.  There is supposed to be some hainsies/kimlets do planned for the seeing of the play, but I haven't heard a peep about it and now it's only a little over a week before we open.  I shall be most upset if we don't have even a tiny sojourn - however, the play plays for eight weeks, so there's time.

We play Thursday through Sunday - four shows.

Had an good rehearsal - some stuff worked fine, some didn't, but everyone is getting used to the space, which is helpful.  Our set should be finished by tomorrow evening and we can start working with stuff that hasn't been there.  I had a very terse conversation with my set designer - these guys are all very uppity and it just rubs me the wrong way.  I had to get snippy a couple of times, and I will be even snippier tomorrow if I'm not happy about certain things.

Notes will be a little late, as I must eat something.
