Well, you're read the notes, the notes served afternoon tea and cucumber sandwiches, and now it is time for you to post until the afternoon cows come home.

And yes, imdb completely wrong on Pay or Die - which opened on August 3rd right after my return from St. Louis and yes I saw it at the Wiltern. The following week, I saw Psycho on its opening day.

Three days after Psycho, I saw Around the World in Eighty Days at the Stadium Theater.

Meanwhile at the Hollywood Bowl, Dorothy Kirsten was doing Madame Butterfly. And oh the shows I missed in my non-theater going days - Li'l Abner, Judy Holiday in Bells Are Ringing, Flower Drum Song - I should have been taken to every one of those shows, but alas my parents weren't those parents. Can you even imagine. Plus incredible dramas and comedies at the Biltmore and Huntington Hartford with big stars direct from Broadway. In fact, that very week I was seeing Psycho I could have seen The Best Man at the Hartford and The World of Suzie Wong at the Biltmore.

Oh, and that very same week I also saw Ocean's 11 at the Wiltern, probably a day or two after Psycho.

Psycho did so much business that first week, it moved from the small El Rey on Wilshire to the huge Wilshire Theater (where The Sound of Music would play). That was VERY unusual - no one expected it to go through the roof like it did.

So George, as I started to ask you last night:

Hypothetically, if someone so desired, is it possible to record on a DVD something off of those streaming services?

And The Subterraneans at the Beverly - well, half of it, as my mother dragged me out of the theater when something racy happened.

Tom, I sent you a PM, but here's a shorter version of my answer for others who may wonder:

I don't know how to capture videos from streaming services.  I can capture YouTube videos, but not from pay streaming services.  I don't know some people it, but they do and have shared, and I've benefited from their technical abilities.

And on Saturday of that final week, The Apartment at the Stadium. I was a busy little moviegoer.

First week of September, Psycho is held over for a fifth week, unheard of in a wide run. Yes, Efrem and Troy and Patsy Kelly.

September 21, High Time opens at the Village - I saw it there several weeks prior at a sneak preview and would return at least twice during its run at the Village.

Meanwhile, the amateur theater company, The Toluca Lake Players in Toluca Lake open Gidget, starring a new teen actress called Linda Henning. Soon she'd go on to star in Petticoat Junction.

BK, it still amazes me that you can remember all the movies that you've seen and where you saw them.  I can barely remember what I had for lunch yesterday. ::)

Let's Make Love goes wide after its run at the Chinese and plays the Fox Wilshire, where, on Friday night, I see it with a sneak preview of a Brigitte Bardot movie, Come Dance With Me. My mother drags me out of  there when the leading man puts his hand on Ms. Bardot's breast. But I'm wrong on this because it only played the Wilshire for a week but something isn't jibing somewhere. Let's Make Love was also at the Village and they did have a preview that Friday. Hmmm.

And on that note (C#), I must get to bed.  It's a work day, and I have reports to compile so that checks can be printed and sent to the library's vendors.

Good night, BK, and have a good day, all!
