Good morning!

What a shock to the system to wake up to 18 degrees after a week of balmy spring-like weather! Only warming into the 30s today, but then we start a warming trend and will be back in the 50s in a couple of days. Rain should arrive Thursday.

Get well wishes to DR Elmore!!!

I despise to get sick at any time, but for me, I somehow feel worse when I get sick in the winter.

I agree with DR Druxy.  DVD is it for me.  All technology must stop until after I'm dead.  I'm tired of constantly upgrading...When I moved, I had a garage with a turntable that still played 78 records, old VCRs, radios, computers.  Enough is enough.  When DVDs go, Blu-ray (which I ain't getting into) will go too...then everything will be downloaded off a computer.

Fav movies so far from this year:

FROST/NIXON
MILK
SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
APALOOSA (a nifty little western)

I saw no movies at a theater either, but I did see one on dvd at my sister's house: Stardust.

There was a Harry Potter marathon on television while I was there, also. However, I didn't have the attention span to watch more than a couple of minutes at a time.

I have close to twelve inches of snow at my house (hmm, how can I measure that?) and the sky is threatening to dump some more at any time.  I called and left a message for my boss that I would be (at least) late this morning.  It is absolutely beautiful here this morning.  It looks like a Currier & Ives painting outside.

Again, I am sorry that I don't have any batteries for my camera.

I saw no movies at the theater this year. I spent my year inside watching old and new releases in my home theater, and I see nothing wrong with selecting the best films from the ones I saw this year on DVD and Blu-ray. Some were released in 2007, but I didn't see them until this year.

NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN

THERE WILL BE BLOOD

WALL-E

TCB -  I'm glad I have the day off too.  They decided to close both branches of Pierce College.  Not sure about tomorrow, but it looks like we might have an early start to the Christmas holiday!

Thanks, Ann, I am more concerned about falling and breaking my hip, than I am about driving.  Of course, I am not even sure I can get out of my parking space.

Beautiful snow pics from Western Washington.  It's clear and very cold here in SW Ohio, but no snow.

If I were you, I wouldn't try.  It's treacherous out there.  The only way to get out would be to go down the alley, I think, and you might easily get stuck.

I've had very few, if any, problems with AOL.  We signed up for MSN, part of a Qwest bundle, about 10 seconds before AOL went fee-free.  MSN has problems now and then.  The weird thing it's been doing lately is, after you read a new email, it then comes back as new again until you read it a second time.  Guess it's just making sure, LOL.

What great pictures, DR ANN!  Wow!

My weather is the same as DR GINNY's - very cold (3 degrees) but no snow or ice - YET!

What is wrong with this picture?  You guys are supposed to have all the snow, and we are only supposed to have cold temperatures.

Seeing those beautiful snow pictures made me look outside at the glorious blue sky without a single cloud anywhere to be seen. I'm not complaining about not having a white Christmas. This is the kind of December I'm quite used to.

And now I'm going to head down to clean up for my dinner tonight. I want to go ahead and get that done because I still have (shamefully) some more gifts to wrap for tonight. Should have already done it but got interested in watching movies all weekend and never got around to it.

Must be the androids, who are also responsible for the drop in oil prices (according to one of the phone regulars at the library).

Crap! Somedays my unfamiliarity with a PCdrives me mad.

Good morning, all! I am officially sick so keep them vibes coming! Last night I went to bed around 6:30, with chills, runny nose, horrible sinus pains, and general discomfort. I slept fitfully, got up around 8, showered, ate, and now I doubt I'll wander far from Randy's sofa or my bed.

I hate this!

More to follow.

Elmo my poor dear! Vibeage for your return to health, honey.

BK, hope I didn't offend you yesterday, that wasn't my intent.  Nothing irritates me more than people who pass on the right when there isn't a lane there to pass in.  I see it all the time.  It's illegal in most places and hopefully that will change the scenario for you.

Congrats to Brockmans!

Oh, Jane - at last, a daughter!!! My heart is with you.

Oy, pix of Western WA - my house is under snow... glad to be in LA, but worried about my little haven there by the stream...

Bruce, it's a car... not an arm or an eye... I'm just grateful you're okay. All you DR's - be careful out there, and come home safe and in one piece.
