Vixmom, looking forward to seeing you and Ben on Friday!
I had my oatmeal with dried cherries, walnuts and cinnamon and coffee.
Now I'm here.
I shall go to the Quad and see if I can get tickets for Friday's show today.

BK is the Gardenia advertising this event to the general public?
I am reading Finishing the Hat.....most entertaining and informative.....but yes LOTS of prose.....but then the first time the stories have been told from this point of view.Great read so far (but so far I'm only a few pages into it).
Rest In Peace Jerry Bock (http://broadwayworld.com/article/FIDDLER_Composer_Jerry_Bock_Dies_at_81_20101103)
:(
The major news services seem to be far behind on the Jerry Bock obit.
Vibes for another terrific Gardenia show, bk!
ASK BK
What is DNR?
And what do they mean by grain reduction, edge halo, AVC Code and all the other terms they use when they review a film?
Does the casual viewer really notice these things?
And whats the point of buying the Blu Ray and getting a DVD version too?
TRAVEL VIBES TO THE 'SAURUS Family, Edi, Mama etc....~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
DR Dan (the Man) - I shouldn't have laughed, but I did. ;)
And the word of the day is: PUNGLE!
Great! Now that I know what "DNR" and "opticals" are, I, too, can become an online DVD reviewer!
;D

Playing catch up. I worked 15 hours at the polls yesterday, from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. without a break. We had a huge turnout.
Sorry to hear about Jerry Bock. Will definitely take out "Rothschilds" and "She Loves Me" later today. We saw SHE LOVES ME this summer.

I have had this feeling that I really needed to get my Cat Sculpture and bring it home. I don't know why it was suddenly bugging me. I agreed to leave it outside at the exhibit through October and something just said "GO GET IT NOW". Anyway, I was trying to find some help to move it and everyone is busy or injured, so I went out this noon to see how heavy it really is and discovered that the ground was dry enough to drive right up to it and by using a rug to prevent scratching, I could get it into the car myself. So I did!
He is now outside as a protector and welcoming beacon to friends. I am very pleased. I don't know why it was bugging me. I think the idea that it was in a meadow that gets very soggy when wet - and the fact that it's dry right now made me want to get it while I can.
Our tenants just informed us they have purchased a new house and they want us to terminate their lease. Ummmm. . . .no.

...Traveling with my medication that needs to be kept cold will be a challenge. Aside from that I can pack lightly as he will need all the space in the car he can fill....

How did Little Ricky get his name? Did he come pre-named?
I wrote a show with Jerry Bock's nephew.
The vet's office wrote it as Lil Ricky....I kind of like that. But, he's so not a rapper
I have now received three requests to be in a production of RING ROUND THE MOON. Thanks, but I already did that show. I didn't like it when I was in it; and I don't like it any better now.
Speaking of teeny tiny print, has anyone been on Facebook lately?Didn't get that new font, either.

I've been reading comments about the new Sondheim book, most favorable except for one thing - the thing I pointed out instantly - the teeny-tiny type and the sort of grayish font color. I find it a chore to read and it makes my eyes VERY tired.
But I found out there's a UK edition of the book - different and, in my opinion, better cover, and apparently the font color is black and much easier to read, and supposedly it's on better paper. I've ordered a copy.

I forgot to mention Craig has friends to help him with the moving & loading part of the trip. At night he will have to take his stuff from the car, along with the pets, and move them into the hotel room. Moving with a cat can be more of a pain than the dog. The dog likes the car and traveling while the cat hates it.
Opticals: Any footage that involves duping original footage, i.e. dissolves, fades, main titles, special effects. Once you dupe original footage you are then generations away and introducing new grain on top of what was already there - depending on the competency of those doing the opticals and the stock used, they can look okay (at best), or really bad.

How did Little Ricky get his name? Did he come pre-named?
His name at the shelter was Bailey. I was in the habit of saying "Hey Ricky!" to the cats. I have no idea where I got it...I actually think it was "Hey Ricky you're so fine..." that started it. So it was only natural to call him Ricky. The Little just seemed right.
I have 5 tickets for Jews and Baseball at 6:30pm on Friday, November 5th at the loverly Quad Theatre on 13th St. between 5th and 6th Avenues.
Two for A and Me
Two for Miss Amelet
One for Mr. Larry
When I moved from Middletown, Ohio, to upstate New York, I got a kitty sedative for Benjamin Stone. It didn't work. He crawled out of his box and decided the best place for him in the rental truck was under the clutch. I drove through the night on a one-lane highway through Pennsylvania. The other lane had been removed. It rained and visibility was next to nothing. And the cat kept getting mad whenever I had to shift gears.I forgot to mention Craig has friends to help him with the moving & loading part of the trip. I had a mild sedative for my cat when I moved from Arizona. It worked well. He slept all day and at night he ran around the motel room and was fine
Sounds like such a fun time....really wish I could be there...Vibes for a sell out to Jews and BaseballSounds great. And more vibes for the showing.
Thanks, Cilla and John! Wish you could be here, too! (Well, not here here...there's only room for one to sleep on this little couch!)What? No bathtub?
