...The ice cream parlor was closed - I think because of a multiple homocide/suicide....
I'll be the one to say it.

People got creamed.

We can now continue.

Page five dance, a la "Slaughter on Tenth Avenue," just to keep you on your toes.

As long as it's conducted by Lennie Hayton, I'll do that dance!

Schlotzky's. That's a good place. There was one on 6th Ave. for awhile, but it's gone now. They had them in Georgia too.

You know what ain't bad along those lines though is Quizno's.

And last but certainly least, congrats MBarnum on HOOTENANNY A GO GO.

I have a few Oscar Brand LPs, and they prove that raunchiness is nothing new.

Rehearsal was fine, but I didn't get enough done, so there's still fifteen pages of act one to go.  Then there's a little thing we like to call act two.  I'm going in every day from now one (not this weekend though) to be available from four to six to grab whoever we can to rehearse whatever we can, and the kids are working on their own.  So I'm hopeful of finishing act one tomorrow afternoon, and then I'll have Tuesday and Thursday to get act two done, which is doable, and then I've got all day Saturday and all day Sunday to run it as much as possible.  This weekend I have to get all the chord charts together for the pianist, whose kind of being a real creep - it's too late to get someone else, and I'm hoping this putz is good enough to get this stuff in his fingers prior to doing it.  He's not able to get anything until Monday, which is really rectal of him.  He IS being paid and not a tiny amount either.

Then I picked up the digi-beta masters, had a long chat with my authoring guy, and we're now on to that step of the process.

Just finished last night's Alias - completely pathetic on every level, especially the endless and ridiculous appearances of "Dream Laurie" (those who watched will know what I'm talking about).  And, of course, they brought back yet another person from the past, like THAT was a big surprise.  Two more shows and I'll stick it out to the bitter end, which is bitter indeed.

You are correct that James Marsters is going to be on "Smallville," but BK's landlord is actually James Marsden. ;D

This sounds serious, DR Cillaliz.  Introspection vibes to you.

Well, it's serious in the sense that I'm really burned out. But it's wonderful in the sense that I'm planning to do something about it.

Well, I got all comfy to watch the final episode of Will & Grace, which I joined "already in progress."  By the half hour, it seemed not to be achieving the arc that I thought a final episode should have - then I saw a promo that explained that it concludes next week.

Never mind.

Good morning everyone!

~~~~WONDERFUL NEWS ALERT~~~~
Well, I can now offically say that a real live HHW wedding will actually be taking place!  Last night former DB, now DF Jed took me out for a romantic dinner at IHOP  (for us, it was perfect) and then took me along the Tacoma waterfront, out on the pier, and slipped a ring on my finger.  I, who am not normally prone to girlish behavoir, confess that I spent the first minute or so jumping up and down and making squeaking noises before managing to accept.
For those who might be interested, the ring is GORGEOUS.  Very simple white gold setting, beautiful round cut diamond, just under a half carat, and very VERY sparkly.  I dreamt about announcing it to people all night, and woke up half sure that the whole proposal had been a dream of mine.  But it's better than a dream!  (Oh, a Bells are Ringing reference :) )
Congratulations to you both, Ann and Jed....
BEst wishes and hope vibes your way!!
I just got an e-mail from amazon.com that a package has been sent!!  It contains four, yes FOUR, CDs:  Patti's "The Lady With the Torch," Julia Murney's "I'm Not Waiting" (isn't she playing Elphaba in the national tour?) and Harry Connick, Jr's "Harry On Broadway Act 1" (which includes the new Broadway cast recording of The Pajama Game and newly recorded songs from Thou Shalt Not).
The fourth CD is Maria Friedman's "Now & Then."  I looked at the track list and realized that it's almost the same as her self-titled CD that I just got almost exactly two months ago from Footlight (and for $12 more)!  There are 12 tracks that are on both CDs, but in a different order.  The three cut tracks are "Golden Days," "I'm Gorgeous" (I don't know why they would want to cut this!) and "Play the Song Again."  The two new tracks are "Smile" and "Children and Art," which features Stephen Sondheim on the piano!
