At this point, we should just book the vacation, right?

DR TPunk - book non-refundable airline tickets and you're sure to get a job offer the next day!  ;)

I have the rest of GIVE A GIRL A BREAK to watch today. I won't be getting my Ebay-acquired laserdiscs for asveral days, so I'll go back to the shelves for other things to watch.

I haven't seen OLD ACQUAINTANCE in awhile, but it's not one of my favorite Bette Davis movies, and it's too long. But maybe I'll go ahead and watch it to get it out of the way. I'm not in a mood for BABY JANE, but I guess I could watch the features on the second disc instead. That's a thought.

...Of course, that all depends on the store and how they stock and re-stock their shelves.
OK, I've got the advantage, working at the store.  I can see what is being restocked, and if I haven't actually been watching what's going on, I can ask Jack or Michael or Larry in produce, or Bill and Gregory over in the meat department.  (I'd ask Albert in meats, but for a department head he doesn't seem to know as much as the other guys.  He didn't even know what the word charcuterie means, which I'd have thought he would have known.)

Which give a tip to everyone else: get to know the staff at your store.  Ask questions, get their advice.  Trust me, staff people love being treated like real people who know their stuff.

OK... Time to head out into the rain, and down to Ripley-Grier to play for a room full of sweaty, male tap dancers.  Ah, such is the life that I lead lately.

My problem is that if I keep food in the house then I eat it right up.

Well RIGHT NOW my internet is working.

I was on the phone to COMCAST for one hour.  I am not sure what the problem is.

Of course they are not either.

SO - if I disappear from the WWW for a few days.  I will be BACK!!!  I may have to take my tower into Charles....

There was an a capella group that used to sing on one of the Vixter's kids shows some years ago, I cannot think of their name now, but the show was "Where in the World is Carmen Santiago?'

(It was on PBS and taught kids about geography)  I understand they went on to be very successful in Japan and moderately so here.... what IS their name!?

Trying to decide whether to jog now or jog after the meeting - I'm thinking after the meeting.

An expensive DVD week coming up: the Betty Grable boxed set (thankfully, Fox is NOT recycling PIN-UP GIRL from that last release into this box), VALLEY OF THE DOLLS (and its awful sequel), season one of MEDIUM.

I'm not getting it, but Season 8 of FRASIER is also on tap for next week.

There was a lovely a capella musical at the Fringe Festival called ALONG THE WAY a few years ago.  (One of the writers of ALONG THE WAY is Kristen Anderson, who is also one of the writers of the Diney World Finding Nemo attraction that Jose mentioned not too long ago.)

I'm at work, but now without loud bodily protests from my feet, my legs, my thighs, my back and my arms.

My head outvoted all of them, but my head knows what they do not....that income is a necessary evil.

That should be Disney World, not Diney World.  Thinking too much about dining.

I unpacked two large boxes in order to get at three orders of storage boxes I received yesterday.  These storage boxes are intended to "house" vast numbers of LPs and CDs and DVDs...which, according to my current plan, will be toted into a storage unit over the 4th of July weekend.

I ironed seven shirts last night.

It was extremely pleasing, for some reason.

When I went to bed, my entire body sang the "Hallelujah Chorus" by Mr. Handl.

The singing was so loud, it kept me awake for a while.

Either that or I was simply too aware of various body parts oohing and aahing in relief.

Supper last night was meat loaf, potatoes and green beans.

It was quite tasty.

How high the moon?

I am loath to admit that I have dipped my toes into the eBay morass and won some auctions I simply could NOT avoid participating in.

Among my booty over the past two weeks:

Linenbacked one-sheets for "Spartacus" (this was a special poster showing an ancient map of Italy), and "Becket".  Additionaly, I've won 14 different 11 X 14 lobby photos from "Patton", six lobby cards, including the all-important "title card", from "Raintree County", and five 11 X 14 lobby photos from "The Empire Strikes Back."

I'm begging the vendor to please stop...cease and desist...but my fingers continue to do the walking through eBay and the vendor continues offering treasures.
