elmore - Any chance this could have a life beyond Encores?

I have no idea! There's been no rumor backstage about anythng beyond hopes for a recording. I think Music Theatre International should pay for a recording since it would boost performances after these reviews, but I'm in charge of nothing.

I am afraid I did not get a picture last night -- will the moon still be super today?

Which reminds me that I really must remember to sign up for one of those police ride-a-longs.

I hate to disappoint you, Mikey, but the police will not let you be a ride.

DR ELMORE - a great new recording does encourage us here in the flatlands to include the show in our $ea$on$.

It would be interesting to see if FINIAN'S RAINBOW had an upturn since the Broadway revival.

I have ignored WHERE'S CHARLEY because of Mr Ray Bolger - who is NOT my favorite performer in ANYTHING.

Is that a famous line from something - 850 channels and nothing's on TV.

DR Jose when I click on that link with what you were given from the bakery I get an error message. I am dying to know what you got.

DR Jennifer - This is what Maury gave me:

I thnk Mr Bolger, if not looking 22 years of age,  is quite funny in the film of WHERE'S CHARLEY? It's very stagebound, though. The slapstick and low humor between him and Horace Cooper as the old lecher is very funny.

I think the Metropolitan Room show is May 10, a Tuesday night.  I'll double check though.

Had a very nice breakfast at the waffle place.  I was scared of the waffles but the one I got with my omelet was fantastic - light and airy and only 140 calories (which they trumpet on the menu).  It was the omelet that was a little scary - and not very good.

It's really pouring here with lots of flooding on Ventura Blvd.  I don't know how the LA Marathon is going.

One thing that's amusing about the UK Carnival is that whoever did the original LP mix had a very amusing time panning the voices hard right and left - even for solos, which is very peculiar.  I guess they wanted to really use the stereo field but for solos it's really weird.  Nothing we can do about it, but it's funny and odd and kind of fun, especially when they pan people left to right like those Stereo Action albums on RCA.

I am leaving soon to attend a matinee performance, and then I will be going to the memorial service for Marcus Walker.  I probably won't be back until this evening.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  We were, indeed, back from Lima in plenty of time to see the Michigan/Duke tip-off.  At the start of the second half, Duke leads only by 4 - not the bloodbath I expected.

Go, Blue!!!
