I think I know what the IRS issue is, but I cannot be certain. In 2022, my accountant of nearly 40 years sold his client list to Taxmasters to concentrate on the clients whose money he was managing. Taxmasters is like H&R Block, with many agents coming and going, and the client is no longer in a mom-pop situarion. My tax person last year was wonderful, but he's gone, and the person I was assigned to suddenly vanished and I found myself working with a new young lady who had no desire to do any more work than necessary. She asked me no questions but reviewed the information I had sent, and that's where I got into trouble because I could never tell you what my former accountant did with the information, loke what percentage of my total DVD, book, and CD purchases he declared on my tax forms. I think I'm screwed.
