Good morning!

My lord, we have gone back to Indian summer. It was so warm this morning, I could have gon out in shirt sleeves and not been cold. At lunch today, I'll be wearing a short sleeved shirt and no undershirt; that's how warm and MUGGY it is here. Unbelievable!

It is 36F outside. We usually get this cold the week of Christmas and it is the extent of our cold weather in the desert.

I really loathe most of Andrew Lloyd Webber's music and shows, so my affection for EVITA surprises even me. I do think it's a marvelous piece of theater, and even parts of the movie worked for me (the Antonio Banderas parts).

My favorite song of his is "Tell Me on a Sunday." I also like "Only You" from STARLIGHT EXPRESS (though the show was the biggest waste of time and money I've ever sat through).

Very happy about SCRUBS returning to the air tonight, and the entire NBC line-up of comedy episodes tonight got raves from both TV GUIDE and USA TODAY critics.

THE OFFICE's episode was written by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant who created the show in England and who are big fans of the US incarnation. The USA TODAY critic said it's the best of the four comedies on NBC tonight.

I only have one hour of TV recorded from last night (CSI: NY), so I'll be DVDing it most of the day until tonight's slate of shows comes on.

At least NBC and ABC have new episodes to present to us. CSI is a rerun, and both of CW's thrillers (SMALLVILLE, SUPERNATURAL) are also repeats.

I don't know too many of the ALW shows. Despite my love of cats, I could never get interested in listening to the whole score to CATS, much less seeing the show.

But I do love Superstar, in all its over-the-cheesy Jesusiness. And the most recent PBS version, with the cool fetish wardrobe!

Andrew Lloyd Webber has written some lovely melodies. "Music of the Night", though way overexposed by now, is truly lovely, IMO.

Unlike DR TomovOz, I prefer "Jesus Christ, Superstar" to nearly everything else ALW has done. Perhaps, DR TomovOz...."Could we start again, please?"

I love several "moments" in the "Evita" cast album. And some of the songs are quite clever, IMO.

I nodded off several times last night while, gamely, trying to watch "Medium."

I should have taped it, but I was muleheadedly certain I was alert. Things were fine until about halfway through.

I did see the denouement and conclusion, however. I do hope we have no more of the errant/evil doctor.

I love the show. But I didn't love much of last night's show. I also did not like the ending.

I'm not sure what it was about the rest of the show. BUt it didn't engage me as much as usual. I was interested with the twist re: the car and what really happened in the car. But why would alison go to see the guy alone? And all that stuff with how alison was saved was too much for me.

I loved the season premiere so hopefully next week will have a better show.

I sent an e-mail and they said that they "put a call into Doris and [will] have her take a look at it this morning. Depending on the cause, will depend on if the HOA will cover it or not. Regardless, we will get it looked at as quickly as possible."
