DR 3D - I guess it's not as clear in the explaining as we thought - LOL! Indeed, you don't want to release a product generally to community theaters where you have no input because it potentially cheapens the product, but that's only while you're in the process of putting the work out to regional theaters and potential commercial producers. Once the writers have sadly decided that they indeed will not get a reasonable commercial deal, they will at that point release it for general licensing.
In the case of Last Starfighter, there's stuff going on that we're not free to talk about so that if it pans out, there will be commercial prospects. But at some point, like any show, if at that point it turns out to our dubious satisfaction that the major regional and/or commercial circuit will not happen for us, then we would release it generally, first contacting the groups on our list that have already asked. And we are OK'ing permission for a production or two in some cities where it probbaly will not have a detrimental effect on commercial prospects.
