My question for ASK BK Day:
What did you see in NYC this time that you have never seen before? (Not counting Bud Cort)

So far I haven't seen anything that I haven't seen before, save for Joan Collins.
So...
As bk mentioned in the Notes, if anyone can and would like to get together before he sees Baby, It's You, then that would take place between 5:00 and 7:30.
I was think that maybe City Bakery would be a good place to meet up. They have coffee, they have a hot and cold buffet, they have pastries and cookies, and they still have the hot chocolate. -This way, if someone wanted to eat something substantial, they could, or if someone just wanted a light snack, that would be very doable too.
Or there's always Madison Square Park and Shake Shack since it's supposed to be another nice day here in NYC.
Or there's Good Stuff Diner.
Or....
Again, if you're interested, just say so, and we'll see what happens.

Yes! I'm good. Tell me place and ADDRESS!
The director of the Appalachian piece keeps relying on period recordings and he's driving me a bit mad because he sends things on programs I cannot download or thewy arrive in the wrong form, and I'm quite irritated over his reliance on recordings, especially when it may be a similar riff on the subject but not necessarily on the same tune. So, I've got a file of mp3s from him I cannot download at the moment and these two men are making my life very awkward at the moment.
Feel better vibes for DR Vixmom. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~They have with me in the past.

RE: those who said it was allergies. Would allergies really make your throat burn?
You're throat can "burn" due to all of the post-nasal drip. Also, just from the irritation from all the pollen in the air.

BREAKING NEWS MOST ESPECIALLY FOR JR DEPARTMENT:
I read with some alacrity in Variety this morning that the pilot NBC is most enthused about for fall is a new musical (yes, musical) which is set in and around a Broadway show, entitled "Smash." Said new series will star the ineffable Debra Messing.

I'm fine. I went out to the arboretum today. The fire burned all the way up to the entrance sign and part of one trail in the back. They were still washing fire retardant off of everything.

Callie?
ETA: Boo?
(I don't think Callie is a lap cat.)
I love "The Red Blues." It works in its situation in the show and the melody is too infectious to shake quickly. I'll probably be singing it all night. And speaking of Jason Robert Brown... And Cole Porter...

He's rather condescending toward "The Wrong Note Rag," which is one of the best songs Bernstein ever wrote!
