Hi, Tom, How are you and Nicky today? Better than me, I hope. Threw out my back and hip coupla days ago and hasn't improved yet.
Sorry, I should have said the role of Garry Essendine was one of my favorites; and the play was PRESENT LAUGHTER.

I still have on my DVR the PBS broadcast of the show with Kevin Kline from two and a half years ago.
Poor Nicky was left alone for most of the day and evening. I had to spend the day sitting around the condo waiting for my sofa and bed to be delivered. He was not happy, but neither was I.
Well, my darlings, pain pill just kicked in so I will say good night to y'all.

Yikes! Did they give you a window of time that they would be there...or was it just the whole day?

They were suppose to be there between 3:00 and 7:00, but they were running late.
Well, I need to go to sleep now. I get to sleep in, but I'll need to get out of my house eventually, so I can't stay in bed all day.
Good night, Tom, and have a good day, all!
Stumble through and Important Envelope Vibes for MR BK.

I didn’t care for Kevin Kline’s performance. I understand Frank Langella was fantastic, when he played the role.
DR JOHNG Lemon cake.
I often forget one thing, maybe two. Five is pushing it, sir.

Yup. Tell me. And they were essentials, like garlic and olive oil.

Not essential in this house, especially the garlic. On the other hand if there is no sour cream or tea ....well I can't even bear to think about it

Got a funny e-mail from the gal who's doing the Adriana book. She didn't understand the etc. etc. etc. stuff. She's in her early twenties. I explained about The King and I and linked her to a YouTube clip of Yul saying it.
BK in the notes: " I then stopped at McDonald’s and got some food, came home and ate it, and then did some work on the computer, after which I sat on my couch like so much fish."
Unimportant fact: I never cared for the McDonald's Filet-o-Fish when I was young.
The neighbor below me, to whom I gave the money for headshots, was Anthony Quinn's dresser on Broadway and tour for Zorba.

Sad. But thank you for adding to her education.

Apparently, Yul would just drop the number when he wasn't feeling up to it.
Maybe she'd seen one of those performances?
:)

An unspeakable tragedy.
A friend of mine is playing Charlemagne in a local production of Pippin, and tonight is opening night, I must mosey on little doggie if I am to get any goodies at the preshiw wine and cheese soirée
I'm about ready to head over to the Y. Today I caught Thatch grooming Stella, and he loves to go into her cage and check out the space. I've told him he cannot move in, but he doesn't listen to me.
Prayers to the city of Virginia Beach and to all of their citizens!

Happy Anniversary to DR JANE & KEITH.
Went to the grocery without a list. Forgot five things I needed.

I got as surprise check from Moonshine and Mistletoe today, so I can purchase four things I desperately need: a vacuum cleaner, new glasses, some clothes, and a pair of shoes.

Sounds like a wonderful show, Elmore.
Ana Gasteyer was in the film version of the Reefer Madness musical.
Elmore, I know you watched this. I can't remember your thoughts on it.
We shall see. That doesn't both me so much, if only because this is the umpteenth filming of the tale.If it were the only version, that might be more of a problem. He's not Russell Crowe, so that's a huge plus in my book.Elmore, I know you watched this. I can't remember your thoughts on it.
I didn't. I'm bothered by a black Javert. I know that in 1830s France that never would have happened, and the BBC's color-blind casting bothers me. I'm not a racist, I hope, but the disregard for historical accuracy irks me. I am curious about it since there's so much in the novel that film and musical trivialize or ignore.

George, are you doing a show now?
DR TCB, how long was your wait for the new furniture. Did Nicky go with you?

I waited around six hours. Oh, God no, I am dreading Nicky’s one car ride next weekend. He hates to ride in the car.
