I was outdoors doing hard labor with the weed whacker (however that's supposed to be spelled), leaf blower, and lawn mower.  (You might also notice I like traditional separate words.)  Last chance before another week of possible showers every day.  Time to sip some ice-ed tea, and enjoy a cool-down shower.  And then?  And then?  I get to settle down to Spaghetti #3!

You wore me out just talking about it.  Spaghetti #3 is without a doubt, the best of the three, IMHO.

I was going to tell you all about my bird dog, Toby.  I say "bird dog" because I had filled up two old dog bowls with bird seed and put them in the dog pen.  I shut the door so none but the birds could get in and the birds are safe.   Well with the rain I've been bringing the bird seed bowl into the house.  Last night I sat it on the kitchen floor.  Then I discovered Toby eating the bird seed!

I don't think it will hurt him.  What I don't get is that he has his dog food.  Lord knows neither he or Sheena go hungry.

Do you think he will begin to chirp?

Don't let him drink any water, or he might start growing plants in his stomach.  ;)
LOL but what if he sprouts wings?

I would be more worried about a big bean sprout growing out of Toby's rear end.

In my best George Takei voice-----Ohhhhh Myyyyyyyy!  :)

Ginny, since you have river cruised in Europe, and I have thought about it; I thought you might want to read this article about a very poor-person's river cruise.

Here is another kindle freebie (make sure it says $0) that i thought some here might enjoy.

It is called: Who Said That in the Movies? 101 Quotes Quiz of Your Favorite Movies (Who Said That? Quote Quizzes) [Kindle Edition]

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007MRR5RA/ref=as_li_ss_sm_fb_us_asin_tl?ie=UTF8&tag=theche0d-20&linkCode=shr&camp=213733&creative=399837&creativeASIN=B007MRR5RA&SubscriptionId=1GVBN9WWNVXC5DBPE502

Thanks, Jennifer.  Oh my gosh, there is already a sequel to FIFTY SHADES OF GREY, or perhaps I should say, Book Two of the Trilogy.
Not that I have read them but all three books are out.  Btw if you or anyone else with a kindle is interested I receive emails from a few different kindle websites every day and they list all the free ebooks that day. It is quite amazing. If anyone is interested i could list the websites.

I woke up feeling pretty lousy today. I got ready and was in the car getting ready to drive the 2 1/2 hours to go to my niece's baby shower.  I decided that it was pretty stupid to do 240 miles round trip when I feel so lousy, so I called Sam and she didn't care at all if I wasn't there.  My mom told me she thought I was crazy for driving that far for a baby shower in the first place, so I stayed home.  I am VERY glad I decided to stay home.   I feel much better now and can have another day to rest my ankle rather than driving 5 hours

Well yes.....

I was just trying to be funny DR ELMORE.  Obviously, I failed.  If you have to explain a joke, it doesn't work.

Well, don't forget I've been called humorless and something else on this site before!

I watched the Queens jubilee and am watching the royal weddings now.  I have to say, in all honestly, Princess Diana's wedding dress was just plan horrible.  IMHO.

John G's villa looks wonderful. It's probably too soon to ask about the surrounding area--you just got there!

Oh, this looks wonderful! But far beyond this person's budget. I'm hoping that John G's villa may actually be affordable.

Yesterday I was watching the Seattle Mariners' game on TV (what else is new?).  There was a little girl who was probably seven or eight years old in the stands.  She was obviously a birthday girl.  She was wearing a crown that was made of the same material as her outfit.  Also, she seemed to have the same snotty attitude as so many entitled children seem to possess.  This was obviously her birthday party.  I saw, at least, four or five children of the same age sitting next to her.  Now, the only reason I noticed her was that she and her group were looking terribly bored during the whole game, and that hey were sitting in the front row of of the stands at U.S. Cellular Field in Chicago very close to home plate; so everytime they would show the batter up close, I got to see the birthday party.

Now, I have no idea how much those seats cost in Chicago, but in Seattle those seats would go for, at least, $400.00 a ticket.  That makes a birthday party at Chuck E. Cheese sound pretty reasonable.

From what I have gathered from all my doctors and surgeons, the pain in my lower back is not going to go away.  The suregery was only supposed to cure (in time) the numbness in my left leg and my ability to walk.  Getting rid of the pain would require an additional surgery.

Speaking of Andrew Lloyd Webber (we were, right?), I'm now watching the DVD of "Love Never Dies," which is the Australian version.  I much prefer Ramin Karimloo and Sierra Boggess, who were in the London production.   I do think that there are several good songs.  The plot is another story.
