Well, it's stormy again tonight, but not right here. Of course, the night is fairly young, but so far so good

Cilla, I noticed taht on the news and Ihope you are okay with all the nasty weather in your area. I saw the pictures from Iowa City. The destruction is amazing.

DR Francois, have the student strikes in paris affect you at all?

BTW, you are quite the gent of smiles good sir!

No, because they had the good sense of striking on my days off!
But we're all are glad that the mess is over!
And La Sorbonne can now be enjoyed like before; no huge wooden walls around it and business nearby back to normal! So many stores and businesses were damaged!

Thank you for the compliments! 8)

Tonight we also saw on the Food Network a guy who makes works of art out of Peeps.

I saw that earlier...

It amazes me what kinds of food people make masterpieces

My inane moment (one of many): I was trying to take photos of my friend and her new baby with my digital camera. Every time I snapped a photo, the camera was just shutting down. I changed the battery, still no change. It turned off I was pressing the power button instead of the button that takes a picture.

I am  happy to report that Nilla has been his old docile self all week.  Tonight, unlike a week ago, instead of attacking me, he curled up on my lap and purred.  That's the Nilla I know

Cilla, I am glad to hear that Nilla is better

And didn't PIDDLER ON THE ROOF include the song "Fart from the Homo I Love?"

OK, OK, but I didn't start with the fart jokes.

My fart comment is NO JOKE!

Which of course means zilch.  The song was #1 in Oz and the UK but made barely a ripple in the USA.
Peter is Eden Kane's brother.  And that information is probably just as useless!

I like bananas, because they have no bones.

J'Aime Les Bananes Parce Qu'y A Pas D'Os Dedans

Ray Ventura & ses Collégiens

Les bananes

- Pistaches salées ! Amandes, noisettes, bonbons acidulés, cacahuètes, caramels...
- Hé garcon !
- Monsieur ?

- Oh oui !
- Et pourquoi ?
- Ah ben, ah ben, ah ben, pas'qu'y a pas d'os dedans !

Especially McKinley. I went to McKinley Elementary School, but I never really knew anything about him, other than he was a president and he was assasinated (sp?)

Peculiar,, The elementary school I live near is called McKinley

Last year, I paid a huge chunk of money to have H&R Block do my taxes for me. The amounts have been steadily increasing there for years, and so this year, I decided to buy tax preparation software and see what I could do on my own.

Yes, it took an entire Saturday morning to enter the information and a couple of other days to update the information when amended forms came in.

However, I got the entire federal and state returns done, printed out, and mailed for less than $60 (not counting what I owed, of course). I can't see ever going back to H&R again. My return at one time really required an expert to do it since I was living in one state and working in another. Now, I think I should be able to handle it myself with the aid of the computer.

I had all kinds of problems with them. Then it turned out I was actually taking my taxes to H.R. Pufnstuf by mistake. Talk about inane!
