Just came back from a screening of BRICK. I did NOT like it. At all. Had it not been a WGA screening I would have left.
The best part of the evening was having a post-movie bowl of Matzoh Ball Soup at Jerry's in Beverly Hills. One of my friends had Potato Skins which i tasted and were also yummy.
Have I mentioned that I did NOT like the movie?
I decided to try a new route home and took the Freeway - which is quite a bit out of the way - but turned out to be faster than taking the canyon.
As for the movie... I did NOT like it.

If the movie opens here in the next two weeks I guess it will be just another brick in the fall.

As some may remember my experience when I got Hildy the dog last year was not so good...I was so alergic to her...but I knew there must be some dog out there that I could tolerate...well this week I happened to be driving by the Humane Society on my way home from the gym...decided to stop in...there amongst the multitude of beagles, black labs, and rottweiler mixes, was an quite, serene, German Shepard mix who caught my eye...I stopped to pet him and looked at his bio...he was a stray, well behaved and 6 years old...hmmmm, I thought to myself...I decided to visite with him in the visitation room just to kill time and fell head over heals!

I wasn't sure if I would end up being allergic to him but when I left that night (after putting a hold on him just in case) I seemed to be fine (although my allergies had been acting up all week because of the spring blooms...I thought about it long and hard for 24 hours and as I was leaving work the next day I just decided to take another chance...and I am sooooo glad I did...not only do I not seem to be having any major allergy problems around him, he also barely even sheds!!!!! Even when I try to pull hair out...nothing!

My Bosco! (winking at the camera! )

I'm starting to get my Emmy voting DVD's and today I received an HBO treasure trove in the mail... Including the Helen Mirren/Jeremy Irons Elizabeth I mini-series which hasn't aired yet. And THE GIRL IN THE CAFE - which I'm happy to now own. And the Rosie cruise documentary which was - surprisingly - very very good. And a whole bunch of other excellent things. Each day now I get boxes of stuff. Last week some DVDs of the new EVERYBODY HATES CHRIS sitcom arrived. The box was shaped like a milk carton with the kid's face on it. Last year some of the boxes made noises or played music when you opened them. Almost gave me a heart-attack. If you want my vote, don't scare me!

Thanks Maria! Bosco is such a mild mannered creature...sometimes I hardly know he is even around! And Freddy seems to not mind his him at all.

And thanks to JRand for the inspiration!

So which of the hairy Beasts did you attempt to pull hairs from DR MBarnum?
Perhaps with Easter here that should be hares.

Thanks, MBarnum. He brings tremendous joy into my life. A wonderful companion.
Good idea, Tom! Abie's nom-de-HHW could be Rin-Tin-Tin.
Night, all. I'm going to do some reading. And work on trying to forget that movie. Have I mentioned I didn't like it?
