Well, you've read the notes, the notes were operatic, and now it is time for you to post until the operatic cows come home.

~~~CONTINUED MAJOR MIRACLE VIBES~~~ for BK!!!!!!
-
Good morning, all!
-
Well, BK, it sounds as though you had a pretty good time at La Boheme. It's my observation that most college opera departments are directed by faculty who often have no comprehension of what stage direction might be. The Met's general director seems to be a Broadway star fucker, and he often brings in Broadway directors who have no comprehension of what an opera is, much less how to direct one. The inept John Doyle and his poor staging of Peter Grimes was an epic example.
-
DR Rodzinski, good luck with the day's housekeeping issues.
-
I, too, miss DR MBarnum, one of the kindest and gentlest people I know, who left us because of his dislike for DR Druxy. The Attack of the Puppet People is a movie whose charms completely elude me, so I will never understand his infatuation with it.
-
DR Rodzinski, good luck with the day's housekeeping issues.
Thank you, friend. The stress of this and the ID theft stuff is keeping me awake nights.
-
My right eye is killing me this morning. I suspect its healing process will be much longer than the left eye.
-
I have things to be done. I accidentally scheduled this morning's Amazon Fresh delivery today for the time span if 7:00-9:00am instead of 9:00-11:00, so it will arrive sooner than expected.
-
In my head I can simultaneously hear Mike Barnum’s voice and DR Elmore’s dead-on impression of him. “It’s Mi-ike…”
-
When he came to NYC once, I took him to Jackson Heights so he could buy a kurta.
-
Sorry about your tribulations, DR Rodzinski.
Thank you DR singdaw!
The weather forecasts for tonight could still lead us in a couple of directions for how much s**w we will get, and when. We can only wait for the school to figure it out for themselves and make the call.
-
Isn’t it supposed to be considered cruel and inhumane to have a spring forward time change on the night before a matinee? Aren’t there laws against that?
-
In
a word two words: It is.
-
Cruel and inhumane, I mean.
-
TOD
Nothing.
Isn’t that sad?
-
“Spring Forward” is a cruel term itself this time, seeing as how we’re now supposed to be getting a Big One on Monday or Tuesday.
FIVE!!!!!
Had the ubiquitous every two week computer freeze, but now it's back up and running.
-
Had the ubiquitous small pepperoni pizza from Marco's. Two weeks ago it was 13.99 as it always was. Last week it was 14.99. This week it's 15.99 and therefore no longer a good deal and no longer of interest to me - so no more Marco's - good job guys. Cheaper to go to the better pizza place and pick up three big slices with pepperoni for twelve bucks.
-
No major miracles. This week has been TOUGH.
-
This day has been TOUGH.
-
Sorry.
-
Major Miracle Vibes for MR BK.
-
Sorry, BK. Hang in there.
-
I got bit of work accomplished on No. 7, but I feel as though I were coming down with something.
-
Several coworkers came down with the flu. The odd thing, at least to me, is that two of them had no fever.
-
This day has been TOUGH.
Oh, no. :-\
Several coworkers came down with the flu. The odd thing, at least to me, is that two of them had no fever.
Not everyone gets a fever. Did they get a combination covid/flu test?
-
It is quiet tonight.
-
The sun came out today, it was lovely :)
-
'night
-
I have nothing exciting to report.
-
I didn't bake a cake.
-
I didn't go ice skating.
-
I didn't play the French horn.
-
I didn't swim the moat.
-
I didn't eat a chimichanga.
-
I didn't dance the Spanish Panic.
-
I didn't ride a gazelle.
-
I didn't swap jokes with the Randy Vicar.
-
I didn't join Dino at the piano.
-
I didn't dance all night.
-
I didn't stay all night and sing 'em all.
-
I didn't talk about Bruno.
-
I didn't read Balzac.
I didn't stop at page five.
Six.
Good night, friends.
This has really been the day from HELL.
-
Work session was okay but he really needs to now do his homework and play through the charts.
-
Otherwise, this has been the day from HELL. And it ain't over yet.
-
65000?
Thank you George!
And here it is! :D
-
I made dinner tonight and stayed awake
-
Well I didn’t so much make dinner as assemble it
-
I bought chicken francese from the really good deli by work
-
Then I boiled up some rice
-
And microwaved some a bag of that “steamable” broccoli
-
And heated up the chicken and sauce in a skillet
-
It was good
-
And quick
-
Maybe tomorrow I’ll really cook something
-
Oh dear.
Day Of Hell ending vibes for MR BK.
-
I ushered for an outdoor screening of Hidden Figures. We had about 75-100 people, who applauded when the movie was over.
-
A fellow usher showed up to watch the movie. Clarence said his wife had seen it twice but he had avoided it. Afterward, he said he avoided it because he knew Katherine Johnson, the woman Taraji Henson played in the movie.
-
He had very mixed emotions about seeing the movie. He liked the Hollywood parts, but remembering the reality of so much in the movie, the segregated water fountains and restrooms, the general abhorrent treatment of blacks, affected him.
-
He was impressed with how they made math interesting. Not his favorite subject when he knew Johnson. And he told her so. She just told she was glad he knew what wasn’t for him.
-
Interesting DR JOHN G.
-
Your dinner sounds good, Vixmom.
-
Watching the last episode of The Mothers’-in-Law. Had some hefty laughs.
-
Very dated. But silly.
-
I don’t know why, but I am starting Benedetta.
-
I have a feeling it will be trash, but not fun trash.
-
Yes, there is a flaming farting scene. No, it’s not funny.
-
Good night, all.
-
Sci Fi night on TCM.
-
It is quiet tonight.
I'm finally home.
-
We played two games and my mom won both!
-
Oh, look! It's Page Seven! :D
-
Yeah, well check your private messages and/or email.
-
Do it. Do it NOW. Do NOT go down a rabbit hole before doing so and what the HELL is this page seven business?
-
Do it.
-
Do it now.
-
This instant.
-
Don't wait.
-
Don't lose out.
-
I'm waiting for a response.
-
Patiently.
-
Or not patiently.
-
Oh dear, oh dear.
-
Where'd he get to?
-
What rabbit hole.
-
One wonders where he wanders.
-
Apparently, these questions will not be answered at this time.
-
Oh dear.
Day Of Hell ending vibes for MR BK.
Wow!
Yeah, well check your private messages and/or email.
Thanks, BK! I did check, but I'm pondering. Oh, yes, I'm pondering. :)
Gratuitous Post #200!!
-
And I have replied.
-
About an hour ago there was a huge crashing noise in the kitchen
-
One of the wall cabinets had decided to make a break for freedom
-
It deposited most of its contents onto the counter and floor
-
By some miracle none of the glass jars broke
-
And I have responded to the response and shall await the response to the response to the response. And hopefully, no one has gone down a rabbit hole.
-
I did take the opportunity to clear out some stuff that had been pushed to the back and hidden
-
I am assuming it was no longer necessary to retain baby aspirin from the 1990’s.
-
And I have responded to the response and shall await the response to the response to the response. And hopefully, no one has gone down a rabbit hole.
Doing this all on a phone takes time! ::)
;)
-
Do you have a thing called a computer?
-
Anyway, let me know what you find out.
-
Just PM'd. Let me try again on my computer. It's upstairs.
-
Computer might work better.
-
BK, did it work??
-
It did!
-
Yay!! :D
-
Now that that's all taken care of, I can post about my Into the Woods CD project!
-
The 5-pack replacement CD trays that I ordered from Amazon arrived today!
-
I borrowed my sister's hot glue guns...she has several and just gave me the big box that contained them all.
-
The first attempt was not successful. :P
-
Page eight is no longer acceptable.
-
Page nine should be around here somewhere.
-
But knowing how this day has gone, who knows.
-
Not I.
-
I know not.
-
I hot glued the tray and it lined up well, but I wasn't able to remove the very thin glue strings which were left under the tray. :o
-
Oh, we're quite a ways away.
-
Continue the story and perhaps we'll get there. We have ten damn minutes.
-
Continue the story and perhaps we'll get there. We have ten damn minutes.
Yes, this will take quite a few posts, and several photographs will be included. ;)
-
Since I used the low temp hot glue, the glue started to cool before I was able to get the tray all completely lined up and applied, so it didn't quite stick as well as it should've.
-
I was able to very carefully remove it from the digipac, and that ripped the paper a bit, but I was able to cover the white part with markers of similar colors, so it's not really noticeable.
-
Photos.
-
Then, since I ordered the 5-pack of trays, I was able to practice, which really helped.
-
I then decided to use the high-temp glue gun, which really made the difference!
-
I got it glued down, the rips are hardly noticeable, and the CD packaging looks like it's the kind of packaging that is should've been!
-
And here's the tray just set upon the case...no glue yet:
-
And here's the first attempt with the low-temp hot glue:
-
You can see the glue string and a scrape on the plastic where I unsuccessfully tried to pull out the glue string with tweezers.
-
Here's the re-do done with the high-temp hot glue:
-
;D
-
And here's the finished product!
-
And the finished side view:
-
And finally, my aborted practice attempts:
-
The end.
-
New notes are up.
-
Up are new notes.
-
I've seen them.
-
I've read them.
-
I wrote them.
-
Gratuitous Post #250!!
-
I wrote them.
Time to read them!
