LC, your cat looks just like my dear departed Buford who passed on in December of 2002. He looks mighty comfy in that picture!

Jay, yes, to look at our all American Leave-it-to Beaver family you wouldn't know the sordid side! LOL! Really, though despite it all I have a wonderful family and some of the best siblings around..although my little brother and I did not get along until just the last few years.

Danise, those are two of the finest looking doggies I have ever seen...you are quite a lucky puppy owner!!

I don't mind spending New Years Eve alone. I also don't mind going out and wooping it up on New Years Eve...just don't have the money to do it this year, and besides most of my friends are staying home  tonight...gettting older I guess! LOL!

Did have a nice dinner with my sister and some family friends at Applebee's, then sis and I made a mad dash for Walmart!

Testing  - okay it's only tripple lettering in the chat room. I'll try once more, then I give up.

Panni's computer is having a bad acid flashback.  I see all our revelers are taking a break.  I'll only leave the chat room open another ten minutes, otherwise we'll just party via posting.  But, it's wild and wooly in there.

Sorry to have been gone for awhile, but I saw in the new year with a wonderful dear friend, and it was a New Year I won't forget for awhile.

Past midnight on the EAst Coast, of course, so Happy New Year,  everyone!!!

The chat is beyond wild and beyond wooly, not necessarily in that order.  But, if you don't want to chat, then post.

Not too late for chat - still going on and is a lot of fun.  I'll be returning there momentarily.  Room will stay open until eleven or so, then we'll begin our countdown to the New Year.

Happy New Year!! I worked THE MERRY WIDOW tonight at the Met and then my friend, Jennifer, and I walked down to Times Square for the dropping of the ball. We could only get to 43rd and 8th, so we couldn't see much, but I got a couple of pictures and I called my parents at midnight and basically yelled at them, "I'm in Times Square right now! Happy New Year, I love you! I can't hear you! Bye!" and hung up. :) It sounds like a dreadful place to be, and totally insane to go there, but there's an indescribable energy when you're part of a crowd that large, and it was actually quite fun. I will say, had they not searched people and prevented everyone from bringing things with them, I would not have felt safe at all, so I say good for them for taking some control over the situation. It put my mind at ease and, thank God, nothing happened.

Now, I have lots of pictures of things for people, and I'm trying to make them as small as possible so they don't take up too much space. Here's the first one...it's for TCB (much to my chagrin)...

Good evening everyone.  It's only 8:45 in these here parts.  DR Jed pointed out to me this afternoon that I will be the last of the HHW people to ring in the new year.  But I will be there in spirit when it's midnight on the west coast.  Hopefully I'll be around for the countdown too.  As of now I've had two rather sizeable glasses of wine...quite a lot for me...and I'm a bit tipsy :)

Can you imagine Dolly Levi coming down these stairs? This is the grand staircase at the Met. Yes, the walls are covered in red velvet and the floors have matching carpets. The carpets are replaced every summer.
