Well, you've read the notes, the notes were T minus three, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently T minus three hundred and twelve.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR JANE!!! ;D ;D ;D
-
A very good morning to all! I am finely feeling well enough to join the living once again.
I am sorry for all of the missed emails and birthdays and I shall do my very best to rejoin the group.
I understand that there is to be a gathering to see the Brain. I hope there are LOTS of pictures and stories and dish the dish.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DR JANE! I fear I messed up this year and didn't realize it was this week. I hope that it is a very wonderful day for you!
-
We've been having yo yo weather lately. One day hot and the next day cold. I just wish it would make up it's mind and do one thing or the other.
-
You wouldn't belive the amount of emails I have to go through. I think it's over 2000! I haven't been online forever so if you sent me one, it might be buried in the stack. Give me some time and I promise I will answer you. :)
-
Good morning, DR Ben! How nice to see you! I received your lovely card. I'm afraid I am behind in doing mine. I am most ashamed. I always do them over the Thanksgiving weekend but I just couldn't get them done this year.
-
Almost to my stop so I have to go. I will be back this evening! Who wants to ride the bus with me? :)
-
I'll ride for a while but I have to get off before your stop.
Don't apologize for cards (or lack thereof). I'm glad you're back among us with your happy face and kind words.
I have another day of volunteering. Yesterday Anita Gillette was helping out. What a sweet and kind woman. She's positive and full of energy and was a great help. We don't get many "celebrities" helping out but Anita has been by for at least one day for the past three years. Her significant other is from England and she spends time between New York, London and California. Apparently she was in one of the CSIs I think. I couldn't tell which show she was talking about. They liked her very much and want to expand her character in coming episodes. Does that ring a bell with any of you who watch the various CSIs?
We had an unexpected delivery yesterday from Colgate Palmolive. I already mentioned the donation of the deodarant but yesterday we got a shipment of Body Wash. Unfortunately it came with no notice and we were unaware of the restrictions on the delivery. Luckily the truck driver was very nice and we got all 3000, yes three thousand, pounds (which comes out to 350 boxes at 12 in a box that comes to 4200 bottles) unloaded and up to the second floor. The driver explained that it was an "outside, on-truck delivery" delivery, meaing he just brought the stuff to us, it was our responsibility to get it off the truck and into our work room. He came at lunch time when it was just Anthony, me and one other volunteer not over the age of 65. We took a few minutes to reconoiter and with help from the staff from Actors Equity we were able to get all the boxes inside in about a half hour. It's now unpacked and ready to be put in gift bags. After lifting many of the 350 boxes yesterday I didn't feel guilty about not exercising last night after dinner. I got enough of a workout lifting boxes.
Off to clean up, eat breakfast and move on to Equity. Later my friends.

SO happy to hear about the success of the BRAIN rehearsal.

And, just for a NEOTERIC kick, they added two beats per measure,
Dancing to 5/4 instead of 3/4 and driving the band ga-ga.

I came back because I forgot to wish our dear, darling Jane a happy, happy birthday.
Big kisses from Anthony and me.

It would have been great to have you there Woody! You're there in spirit (you're all there in spirit).

Time to head off to work. At least it will still be light out when I return today.
And I'm still trying to catch up on the last few day's posts!!!

Happy birthday, Jane!!!!!

Looking forward to getting to sunny California tomorrow!

I haven't noticed much lately about the breakfast plans for Sat. morning. Is that still on? If not, that's OK since we'll meet everyone at the show Sat. night, but I won't have internet access after Friday morning as far as I know.
People can leave messages for me at 212-332-0641 if there are any updates. I'll check that voicemail fairly regularly. Thanks!

Good morning FJL! Hope you have a great flight. Wish I was joining your for breakfast. If you let me know what time, I shall eat at the same time and join you in spirit

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DR JANE!!!!!

DR Ben, I'm still looking for South Dakota -the quarter that is, I can almost see the state from my office window- it's just on the other side of the ridge. I'll see if I can get one at the bank this afternoon
-
Well time to pour my Zen tea and get to work. Laters

Oh, I'm looking for health vibes for jhvw, he's got bronchitis and is totally under the weather. On a funny note, his mother finally found out he's still smoking cigarettes. Lol, knowing her, that will be enough to get him to quit.

Good morning!
Another beautiful late fall day, and it's not going to be super cold today: highs in the 50s, so pleasant for December.
-
I don't have a lot recorded to watch, so I should get through more CSI: MIAMIs and BONES episodes today.
There are new episodes tonight of lots of my favorites: CSI, SMALLVILLE, SUPERNATURAL, and the NBC comedies.
-
My favorite Taylor/alone movies are CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF, SUDDENLY LAST SUMMER, A PLACE IN THE SUN, and GIANT.
-
Burton's finest hour without Taylor is THE SPY WHO CAME IN FROM THE COLD, but I also like ANNE OF THE THOUSAND DAYS, BECKET, THE ROBE, MY COUSIN RACHEL, and the parts of EQUUS that I've seen. Can you believe that I've never seen that film all the way through?
-
I think WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF is a masterpiece, and that both of them give the greatest performances of their careers in it.
In Burton's case, I think it's the greatest performance that never won the Oscar.
As I said earlier, THE V.I.Ps is a super soap opera, and I have to admit on rewatching CLEOPATRA a few months ago, I was more impressed by Burton this time around than I was when I first saw the film or in subsequent viewings. I still think it's one of Taylor's lesser achievements.
THE TAMING OF THE SHREW is excellent, and Taylor is much better than I ever expected her to be. Burton is marvelous, of course.
-
Tom, the rose is beautiful.
Danise-Thanks, & don’t worry. I have been doing the same thing lately. Glad you are feeling better.
Thank you George, JRand & Michael S.
-
And what about Elizabeth in A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC? Despite being dubbed part of the time, I think she was right for the role. The faults of the film aren't really due to her though others may disagree.
-
Good morning, all! I actually got some sleep last night and I'm ready to tackle the Curtain Calls. I hope you all have a fantastic day. I am so excited about the Jainsies and Kimmlets arriving tomorrow.

Jennifer & SWW-Thanks for the wishes.
Ben & Anthony :D

Thanks Matt H.
FJL-Thank you & enjoy sunny California. I wish I weren’t leaving for cold Philadelphia. And DC will be even colder. I left my warm winter coat in Michigan when we moved & never replaced it. Yes, it gets cold here but I’m not out in it long unless I’m hiking, and then I’m bundled up in layers of ugly hiking clothes.
-
Cillaliz-I got all excited thinking I had So. Dakota, sorry it’s only No. Dakota. Thanks for the birthday wish. I like your new photo very much.
Good health & no more smoking vibes for jhvw!
-
Elmore-Thank you. I’m sorry Nurse Jane hasn’t been reading the posts and following your news out in my home town. I still haven’t had time or the energy for a walk since before Thanksgiving & I barely have time to celebrate my birthday. Don’t really have time, did stop to enjoy the sunrise.
Now I’m off to play ball with a rapidly growing puppy who is over 50 pounds now. He is getting into the gangly stage, loosing his soft puppy fur and his back legs are growing faster than is front ones. He can’t sit up straight-it’s so cute.

Happiest of birthdays to DR Jane!

HammerSMITH Is Out is the Burton-Taylor film with Peter Ustinov.
HammerSTEIN is out is that underground musical Richard Rodgers did that caused quite a rift between the two!
-
Burton and Taylor's DOCTOR FAUSTUS is actually not bad. Kinda cheaply produced, but I liked it when I saw it.
-
Penny & JMK-Thank you for the birthday wishes.
Rodskinsky-So sweet, thank you. :)
Jeanne-Thanks, meeting in person would be very nice and very interesting. ;)
-
Hi Ginny-Thank you.
-
Hammersmith is Out has got to be one of the weirdest movies I've ever seen. Absolutely terrible! The worst! But I love Burton honking: "Let me out! I'll make you rich and strong! Strong and rich!"
Back from two weeks in London!
Saw:
WICKED
ROCK N ROLL
THERESE RAQUIN
39 STEPS
DONKEY'S YEARS
FROST/NIXON
MOON FOR THE MISBEGOTTEN
GATES OF GOLD
THE SEAFARER
THE LIGHTNING PLAY
CORAM BOY
DON JUAN IN SOHO
All wonderfully produced and acted. A very good trip!
-
Pogue and Jane and Danise back on the boards - hoo and ray and about time!
I almost got eight hours of sleep. I thought I'd be doing the last of the shipping today, but as I said I got it all done yesterday, so I have no plans until rehearsal.
-
Hi Bruce! Have a fantastic birthday tomorrow. I have a 6:00AM flight so I, obviously, won't be here.
-
Almost eight hours of sleep sounds heavenly. I slept in late (still way before sunrise) this morning, giving me almost six hours of sleep-a real treat these days.
-
CP-Did you eat any humbugs or marzipan?
-
Happy Birthday Jane!
Based on today's notes, BK must have met you in your former life - surely you were not born by 1964 :D

Nice to hear from an old friend:
Ray Bradbury: 'We're Going to Need Water' on Mars (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,234900,00.html)
Wednesday, December 06, 2006
By Catherine Donaldson-Evans
Famed science-fiction legend Ray Bradbury is excited, both about Wednesday's news that water may still be flowing on Mars and about NASA's plans, announced Monday, to build a permanent base on the moon.
"It's nice to know that water's there, because we're going to need water," the 86-year-old author of "The Martian Chronicles" told FOXNews.com Wednesday from his Los Angeles home. "But more important news than water on Mars is the fact that NASA has announced we're going to build a permanent locale on the moon for taking off to Mars."
…
For decades, Bradbury has woven colorful science-fiction tales about people traveling to and living on Mars, many of them collected in his 1950 book "The Martian Chronicles."
His vivid descriptions of the planet have brought it to life for millions of readers, and he has long believed the stuff of his imagination would one day become reality.
"We're going to bring our life to Mars," he said. "We will be the Martians, and that's our future. I wish I were going to be alive the day we land on Mars and become the Martians."
…
"The water may be flowing on Mars, but the important thing is the blood flowing in our veins and our hearts beating in our chests," Bradbury said. "I've put life on Mars. If you've read 'The Martian Chronicles,' you know damn well there's life on Mars."

Last night's "Medium":
SPOILER
I really, really, really enjoyed last night's episode.
I thought the use of the camera as a conduit between Allison and the actions of a previous owner was terrific!
As usual, the family dynamic was sensational, IMO. Maria Lark, as Bridget, continues to amuse and amaze me for her natural and winning ways. She's a cute chubbette! Interesting to see they're now getting the third daughter into the group as an entity unto herself.
The hour this show airs just whizzes by for me. I like it.
I really like it.
-
Ron thanks for the BIG wishes & the spoiler. We couldn’t stay awake last night to watch MEDIUM, will catch it tonight.
-
DerBrucer-It is nice to know Ray Bradbury is still alert and in the news. He graduated high school with my uncle. My uncle and my father were very close, both are gone now. I sort of feel a connection there, plus the man is just super, super nice very interesting. We have met him on and off over the years since high school.

Thursday greetings! We've had our first blast of wintery weather here in SW Ohio today. My drive in to work wasn't too bad until I got to the Dayton city limits, where the salt trucks had not been out yet.
Tuesday evening my drive east to Westerville was right into a spectacular rise of a full moon and yesterday my drive home was into a gorgeous sunset. The workshop in between was challenging. As soon as it's posted online, I will share the MP3 file of the "reader's theatre" in which I played the mayor ;D

Ginny, thank you for the travel vibes. I need them. This will be a real hassle with the new rules. It is going to take an extra long time to pack. Normally I wouldn't even check luggage, but my liquid containers are over the size limit. This means I have to check my roll bag & carry my second bag that usually fits on top of the roll bag. Ouch for my back & shoulder. What a nuisance to go through luggage. I have to keep the bags small & convenient for the trains & walking to the hotel in DC.

She played Lily Flynn (Catherine Willows' mother) in two episodes of CSI (the basic issue in Las Vegas).
She also played Quicey's wife and was nominated for Broadway's 1978 Tony Award as Best Actress (Play) for "Chapter Two." (She played the Marsha Mason part)
She was original slated for Off B'ways "Oldest Profession" (http://www.broadway.com/gen/Buzz_Story.aspx?CI=40146),but seems to have been replaced by Patricia Lopez.
Gillette won a 1960 Theatre World for Russell Patterson's Sketchbook and was nominated for a 1978 Tony Award for her work in Chapter Two. Her other Broadway credits include Gypsy, Carnival!, Guys and Dolls, Don't Drink the Water, Cabaret, They're Playing Our Song and Brighton Beach Memoirs.

The iconic black dress Audrey Hepburn wore in the 1961 movie Breakfast At Tiffany's fetched $800,000 at auction in London yesterday. The lot was only expected to fetch $135,000, with all proceeds from the sale donated to the City Of Joy Aid, which helps Indians living in poverty.

Yep. And it was great to see Allison indicate that her gift for Joe was from her AND Marie (the youngest girl). I thought that ashtray from Bridget was a perfect touch.
From all indications, next week's show will feature the youngest daughter, Marie, as Joe becomes concerned that Marie is beginning to display abilities.

Has anyone else wondered what would happen if George's production of "Cannibals" met up with BK's production of "The Brain That Wouldn't Die"?
-
As has been happening quite a bit lately, we had an overlong lunch which limited time to watch things once I got home.
However, the weather was certainly cooperative as it must have been near 60. I didn't need the light jacket I was wearing.

I saw the original production of CABARET in a matinee performance in the summer of 1968. Anita Gillette was Jill Haworth's matinee replacement, and she was an outstanding Sally Bowles. In fact, several of the originals had moved on to other things. Joel Grey was doing GEORGE M! by then (we saw that the night before we saw CABARET). We did see Lenya and Jack Gilford. John Cunningham had taken over from Bert Convey and Martin Ross was playing the Emcee.
-
The Brain That Wouldn't Die? Never heard of it. I shall now be on my way to have a bite to eat, then to LACC for a bit of reblocking and rehearsal and tonight's preview/final dress.
-
I began my afternoon viewing with a CSI: MIAMI episode from Season 4. I had no memory of this episode, so it was fun seeing a "new" one. It involved two murders on a cruise ships right off the shores of Miami.
-
Next I watched the first episode from disc 2 in the BONES set. In this one, a prisoner on death row within 40 hours of execution convinces his lawyer to have the Jeffersonian scientists to rexamine the evidence in his case. One of the show's most gasp-inducing episodes, and it was a pleasure to see it again. A great surprise ending.
-
There's a bunch of people logged on. Why isn't anyone else posting?
Because I never know when the boss is going to walk up behind me ;)
-
A second BONES episode introduced us to Temperance's former anthropology professor/love interest who is being courted by a local university to head their department. They find themselves on opposite sides of a murder case involving a skeleton found in a refrigerator. Wonderful episode but another disappointment for Temperance in the love department.

Hi, Can't wait to meet you all on Saturday. I hope everyone goes to Gengis Cohen afterwards! Bruce is going "great guns" on the show and it is going to be fantastic. I've just finished the Benjamin Kritzer trilogy which I loved !! I'll start his book of short stories today. I can't help thinking how well his childhood biography would translate to film. I wish I had grown up in those days. He got to do so much as a child on his own. . . go to restaurants and movie theatres all over town, take the bus, go to the candy store and delicatessan, the Ocean Pier Park. He and I had ice cream last week at Fosters freeze and now that I've finished the books we will have to go back so we can have cheeseburgers, the official food of Kritzerland.

Evening all! Travel vibes to all who need them!
Bronchitis--I have a deep understanding of the meaning of that word.
Hello new Dear Reader Merrill! It's always nice to meet someone new. Wish I was going to the gathering so I could meet you as well.
-
My favorite Christmas card was one that talked about the little known 4th Wiseman. He brought fruit cake. He was never heard from again.
Speaking for myself, I like fruit cake.
-
Best wishes to the cast and crew of the Brain!
-
Yes....break a leg, one and all!
-
Hi, Danise! May I ride with you for a while?
-
Hi, Danise! May I ride with you for a while?
Yes and welcome!
-
I smell something burning. I hope it's not the bus. Not that it would be the first time. Hartline. It's not just a bus ride--it's an adventure!
-
Oh, it was the car in front of us burning oil.
So how is everyone?
Elmore, how is your Dad?
Mom is doing pretty good. Sheena continues to be a trip. Bear is being a old bear at times.
-
Let's see, who all needs travel vibes:
Jane, FJL & Skip, MBarnum, singingnymph
Who else?
Me me me!!!
-
Well ladies and gents, this concludes our ride for this evening. Make sure you grab all of your belongs. Take small children by the hair--err hand. Have a wonderful evening!
-
Travel vibes for DR DearReaderLaura - anyone going with you?
-
Things from yesterday that I've been wanting to comment on:
DR Ben's volunteer work :-*
DR Cillaliz coming to Cincinnati in the spring ;D
DR Rodzinski's new assignment ;D
-
Well, my car should be all ready to go -- I got a new radiator, new serpentine belt, and brakes. Merry Christmas to me!
-
Didn't you used to live in Greater Burbank?
der Brucer
(Maybe we should get DC to have rickshaws to accommodate car-sick prone visitors)
No, silly. I'm the one from Burbank.
::)
-
Travel vibes for DR DearReaderLaura - anyone going with you?
Thank you. DR Sandra has to work. But DR Kerry will drive home with me on Sunday.
-
dem bones, dem bones.....
Great idea! Since I've done my cleaning of the bedroom areas already today, I have extra time to watch a couple more BONES episodes before SMALLVILLE this evening.
Heading down now to get started.
WBBL.
-
As we proceed merrily toward the shortest day of the year, I note that the sun is lower in the sky at this time of day than I previously recall it being.
-
I'm grabbin' my hat and coat.
I'm leavin' the cat a note.
Quick, call me a ferry boat.
Gettin' out of town.
Well, not yet, but it seems like our theme song this weekend.
-
Has anyone else wondered what would happen if George's production of "Cannibals" met up with BK's production of "The Brain That Wouldn't Die From Planet X"?
The universe would implode! :o
;)
BK's show is having their final dress rehearsal tonight and we're having a pick-up rehearsal. Who knows what can happen tonight! ;D
-
I wonder how many costume changes "the Brain" has!
-
OH -- Happy Birthday, Jane!!!!!
-
This day rather plods along for me.
I've finished up a bunch of stuff, including year-end reports that are due next month.
It's nice to know I don't have anything monstrously involved hanging over my head upon my return from my vacation.
-
How quiet....how quiet the chamber is....
-
Lots of holiday potluck planning has been going on today. Menu items are being discussed...folks who've volunteered to bring one thing are being gently persuaded to bring something else.
I love these things. But this one will do without me.
-
For anyone over 50: When you are out in public, for whatever reason, always, always, ALWAYS return things (keys, credit cards, wallets, whatever) to wherever you normally keep them when walking around or shopping.
Especially at this time of year when places are crowded and clerks are rushed...it's easy to get a bit flustered and when you do, you are apt to put something down that you OUGHT TO HAVE put in your wallet, or put something in a pocket that you NEVER USE for anything.
Of course, what I'm getting at is that later on panic will ensue when you can't find your debit card or your key or whatever.
Sigh.
-
And yes, I left my debit card on the counter at a store last night.
And I got it back this morning. I am pleased to report that there really are some honest, caring people in this world who will reunite you with things you lose.
-
I had "blackened" scallops for lunch today.
It was interesting.
Now...I cannot decide whether I'm going to eat dinner or not.
-
Oh, I forgot to state why -- it's because the scallops seem to still be sitting there...like so much fish...in my stomach.
-

I wish Merrill hadn't said anything about cheeseburgers.
I could EAT a cheeseburger.
-
I'd kill for some McDonald's fries from the time before they changed the oil they use!
-
And I wouldn't mind some Burger King onion rings.
-
But what I'd truly do almost anything for is a bag of White Castle hamburgers with their fries, their onion chips and one of their large chocolate milk shakes.
-
Hey, JRand56!
Is there still a White Castle along Pendleton Pike in Indianapolis (near Lawrence)?
-
I talk a good game of junk food, but the truth is I couldn't eat a bite.
In fact...those scallops seem to be moving just a tad(pole?).
-
Am I posting too much?
Anybody?
-
George?
Mike?
Dear Reader Laura?
-
Fred?
-
I see names....and they're probably wading through my scribblings.
-
DR Jane,
Happy birthday wishes coming to you from The Hollywood Orchid Hotel!!
-
Whew, am I beat...got into LAX at 11:30 am...got to my rental car place just fine, but the drive up La Brea to Hollywood took forever! But I did a lot of nice sightseeing during the drive...got mildly lost trying to find the part of Franklin Blvd I needed to be on and took short cut up Whiltley Dr, over to Whitley Terrace (where Ms. Peggy Webber happens to reside...wished I could have remembered her street number), turned my car around in an old folks home just in time to see a very elderly man trip over something on the sidewalk and bash his nose in. He was cut and bleeding and I jumped out of my car and assisted as best I could. Finally some people from the home came out and took care of him and I drove on finally finding my hotel and checking in.
-
I just returned from walking over to Hamburger Hamlet where I had a not so great meatloaf sandwich...but the service was very good and I was eated by the window and could watch all of the bizarness that is Hollywood Blvd....you know some of those people who dress like various cartoon characters and hang around the front of the Grauman's Chinese don't smell so good after being dressed up in those costumes all day.
-
I shall now go and get showered and shaved and ready to head over to The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to see a screening of SANTA (1932), Mexico's first sound film. It's star Lupita Tovar (now age 96) will be there for a question and answer session. Wil her daughter Susan Kohner be there as well? I shall report my findings.
-
Thanks for the update, Mike. Good luck on Kohner being there.
-
California dreamin' on such a winter's day
That's all i have to say for now.
-
Tomorrow I will head over to Studio City to have lunch with Mr. Rock Stevens...
-
......Also known as Peter Lupus (Willy on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE)
-
Is Rock Stevens his "real" name?
-
And of course will be at opening night of THE BRAIN FROM PLANET X escorted by two of the loveliest ladies in Hollywood!
-
By the way, my hotel room here is as big, or bigger, then my own house!
I have a kitchen and dining room and you have to go down a hallway to ge to the bathroom! Wow!
I must get to a Ralph's Supermarket tomorrow and stock my fridge!
-

I learned long before I even turned 40 that I needed to do this!! ::)

I am here -- just nothing of interest to say today, unless you want the local news.

You were EATED by the window?? :o Do we really need to know that??

Anything JUICY?

Happy Birthday wishes to DR Jane!

More spoilers...
I liked last night's episode too. And Bridget was at her cutest with the spoon dancing. I LOVED the flashbacks of Alison's childhood in the beginning of the episode. I've been waiting to see if there was going to be more of that.
-
We just had a delightful family dinner here at home - all 3 of us - DS Rob is now home from college for the holidays.
-
Welcome to Page 7!

4-H Plug! Sorry all...I've posted this everywhere because I'm a former 4H-er & the experience was priceless. Girl Scouts have their cookies, Boy Scouts have...I dunno, but anyway, 4-H isn't in the spotlight so much when it comes to fund raising. I guess that makes us less annoying, but lower on funds. ;)
See Charlotte's Web and Help 4-H!
Get the word out: For every ticket purchased for Paramount Pictures and Walden Media's production of Charlotte's Web through www.fourhcouncil.edu, Hollywood Movie Money will make a $1 donation to 4-H to support your state's 4-H program.
More here: http://www.fourhcouncil.edu/
Yay! During my senior year in high school, I was the president of my 4-H chapter. I led the crafts project, but I never raised animals because I didn't want to slaughter them.

Every day this week has "felt like" Friday to me.
I thought it might have something to do with Friday being my last work day until the New Year, but others here have commented on this "feeling."
That's weird, because every day has felt like Thursday to me.
-

Trail's End Popcorn (http://www.trails-end.com)
Our son, who became an Eagle 3 years ago, sold tons of it through the years.
-
Okay, it's time to rinse the color out of my hair. Be back in a bit!
-
MBarnum-Glad you arrived safely. I didn’t expect a card from Hollywood. Thank you, it’s beautiful. Have a good time.
-
Thank you TPunk :)

Yesterday, der Brucer quoted this from Rodzinsky about people Rodzinski could interview in his new job:
... and if anyone on this board has ideas of people they would like to see covered, why just let me know. (http://www.haineshisway.com/community/index.php?action=display;board=4;threadid=1224;start=msg250266#msg250266)
In response, der Brucer posted:
I suggest not starting with James Barbour (http://www.foxnews.com/column_archive/0,2976,12,00.html)

The link didn't work, it just kicked me to the Fox News main page. I tried to search his name last night, but couldn't find anything. Today, I saw a headline for the article. HERE (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,234841,00.html) is the correct link and it all make sense...sadly. :-[
-
And on that note (G-flat), I need to leave to go to the Cannibal: The Musical pick-up rehearsal.
Be back later.
-
I read a bizarre sounding story in the post today about James Barbour. Poor guy, poor girls.
-
I had wine and tortilla chips for dinner.
-
I can't wait for my hair to dry so I can see my new hair color.
-
My hair dries at exactly the same speed as my face.
-
How long before some enterprising Video producer comes out with:
THE BRAIN FROM PLANET SEX?
-
Hollywood Orchid Hotel, home of Michael Barnum, how may I direct your call?
Surely this is the way they are answering the phone there now!
MBARNUM is in Hollywood, but he is NOT going Hollywood, I am sure.
Rock Stevens was featured in MUSCLE BEACH PARTY and was on display on the Annette MUSCLE BEACH PARTY LP released by Buena Vista...prominently on display, no less.
-
My computer is still shutting itself down....hmmmm
Doing another DEEP SCAN....
-
You will be escorted by two of the loveliest ladies in the UNIVERSE tomorrow night, DR MBARNUM...in the UNIVERSE!!!
I hope Mr Haze arrives as well.
Get those cameras ready, DRS...those of us not on the spot will need tons of pics!
-
Yay! During my senior year in high school, I was the president of my 4-H chapter. I led the crafts project, but I never raised animals because I didn't want to slaughter them.
I got blue ribbons at the county fair for my 4-H crafts projects ;D
-
My cousin was in 4-H.
-
4-H Rocks!
-
My hair appears to be a dark auburnish color. It makes the pink streak really pop.

JRand56,
Got the e-mail and got the address. Thanks! I will be doing some searching for B movie star homes tomorrow! ;D
-
what color TPunk!
-
I just spoke to DR Elmore on the telephone. He and DR Penny O are busy working on the Brain music.
-
Ok, I am in the middle of Hollywood, California and I supposed there are things I should be doing other then surfing the web.
I did find out that the Hollywood Orchid has a rooftop garden! Who knew!
-
JRand56,
Got the e-mail and got the address. Thanks! I will be doing some searching for B movie star homes tomorrow! ;D
We must have some photos! Hope you have a great time - please give hugs from me to the Hainsies and Kimlets you see!

Awww...you're missing Elmore's comments on your posts, aren't you?
-
Happy birthday wishes from over the ocean, DR Jane!
François-It's nice to see you. :) If the phone would stop ringing I could pack for my trip tomorrow. ;D
-
Happiest of B'days to Jane!
-
Thanks CP. I had a very nice day.
'night.
-
Yay! During my senior year in high school, I was the president of my 4-H chapter. I led the crafts project, but I never raised animals because I didn't want to slaughter them.
Yeah, I raised Columbia sheep...a wool breed!
-
Did we nail down a time & place for breakfast? I seem to recall reading something about DuPar's. Which would be good. (But Farmers Market or Studio City?) And what time? I'm coming from Manhattan Beach, so I'll have to give myself time to get up in the morning & drive & mapquest it out.
-
I just loved Peter Lupus on MISSION IMPOSSIBLE, and I got the complete POLICE SQUAD series on DVD where he had a recurring role (taken in the movie versions by O.J. Simpson).
I adored POLICE SQUAD when it ran its six episodes, and I lolok forward to seeing Peter in them.
(I really hated the screen name "Rock Stevens." Sounded SO third rate, and he wasn't.)
-
I did manage to fit in two more BONES episodes before prime time TV began. The first one was a beautiful Christmas-themed episode as the entire staff was quarantined in the lab over CHristmas and how they managed to solve a crime and bond more tightly as a group during the time there.
-
The other BONES episode was one of the lesser ones where Booth and Temperance head to LA to investigate a skeleton whose skull was so riddled with plastic surgery changes even to the bone that identifying her was next to impossible.
And encounter between Temperance and Penny Marshall (whose going to produce and direct a movie version of her book) wasn't nearly as hilarious as it could have been.
-
SMALLVILLE had an interesting story tonight concerning an illegal alien trying to stay alive and be reunited with his mother. Clark, being an alien himself, naturally identifies with his dilemma.
Enjoyable but not as exciting as other episodes from earlier in the season.
-
CSI brought the "miniature murderer" storyline to a rather unsatisfying conclusion. I kind of felt like they didn't have a great wrap-up, and this one was sort of cobbled together to get them to its conclusion.
spoiler
The other two cases they were investigating tonight once again (as is becoming a too-often practied motif) ended up being linked.
-
I finished the evening watching tonight's SUPERNATURAL at 10 off the DVR. A genuinely creepy episode with a couple of genuine shocks and a doozy of a cliffhanger.
-

Steve's performing career started burgeoning at Ted Hook's immensely popular Backstage, a piano bar and restaurant in the Broadway theater district. After 40 years of not having regular performances, Steve reopened The Oak Room at The Algonquin; He's played The Ritz and Pizza on the Park in London; the Spoleto Festival, the Hong Kong Arts Festival, and the Perth Festival in Australia. He has performed in Brazil, around the United States, including on-and-off Broadway.

I remembered that my sister is flying to LA for business this weekend at UCLA. I am trying to see if she can make the Saturday BRAIN matinee before her flight back north.
-
The man behind LOST IN BOSTON shares a Birthday with the man behind THE BOSTON STRANGLER. Coincidence?
-
I'm heading off to bed now.
Good night!
-
Our speed-through rehearsal went quite speedily! We started at about 6:35 and ended at 7:50! Right now, I'm at home listening to Emily Skinner and Alice Ripley live in concert!! My CD came today!! ;D I won't be able to listen to all of it tonight, but I'll listen to all of it tomorrow at work.
-
MBarnum, you can always do my favorite thing in Hollywood -- check out findagrave.com and visit your favorite dead celebrity's grave. Lots of interesting dead people live in Hollywood.

n local news today:
One of the Serial Shooter suspects who tried to commit suicide said he ingested 260 pills. The Serial Shooter (actually two people) killed someone about 3/4 mile from my home.
The man being held in one of the Baseline Killer crimes today was charged with 71 crimes, including nine murders, five sexual assaults and 12 armed robberies. The Baseline Killer killed two women near one of my favorite birding places, as well as one 1/2 mile from where our church used to be located.
Folks have been out and about again for the last couple of months.

I think Peter Lupus has had way too much plastic surgery. He doesn't even look like Peter Lupus anymore!

Belated birthday wishes, DR Jane!
And a Happy Birthday to our own BK! I've been thinking about all of you while I'm here in Santa Fe. I've seen several very good films and the weather has been great. I did a lot of scouting and networking and it looks like we might be able to draw a pretty good crowd for the Friday and Saturday screenings. Sunday I fly back to Atlanta and will get to enjoy my clean house (for a few days....)
Broken leg vibes and travel vibes to all!
And credit card vibes to JRand56!
-
Mr. Bruce, I hope you like brownies.
And if not, well I hope everyone else does! ;)

Back from our final dress/preview, which I'll talk about in Ye Olde Notes very soon. Dear reader elmore simply disappeared after the show - have no idea how he got home since neither I nor the musical director took him.
