It's not Ask BK Day, but I was wondering: BK - Do your students in your workshop get graded? If so, is it based on their average work throughout the term or based on where they end up in terms of accomplishment by the end of the term?

Especially with the new standard set by "Hard Out Here for a Pimp" (a soon-to-be overused-by-me Oscars reference), lummox and stomachs might actually be a perfect rhyme depending on how you pronounce it..

Hello, Fred! Good morning, all! I'm listening to the unreleased BABES IN TOYLAND, thinking about today's schedule, and wishing the new neighbor above me would put down some carpet or wear different shoes. She's already up this morning, seems to be out from around 9 am to 10 pm. Last night there was a herd in her apartment around 10, they all went out and around 12:30 am returned, rather noisily. I don't think she's giving rhumba lessons.

I don't know why I'm prompted to recall this story, but the PIMP song reminds me of a moment from my adolescence. Gimbel's Department Store was running a commercial with the exciting theme song "Gimbel's is getting better every day." My Mom came running into the room when she first heard that commercial shouting "What's that commercial for? Should we get some of that stuff?" I was very confused, until she said she was sure they were singing "Pimples are getting better every day."

A childhood memory, and to think that memory was all brought on by that Pimp song.

There are small fixes to be done, but that won't happen till the release plans are finalized.

Jose, Anthony received an e-mail from Nick with wedding news and pictures. Great news and great pictures. Wow, to get married and have your father (Nick's dad is a minister) perform the ceremony. I don't know if that's good or bad ;-)

Don't let the movie of WHERE THE TRUTH LIES make you decide not to read the book (if you already haven't). The book is excellent and probably comes in a close second to the Kritzer Trilogy as my favorite book from the last five or six years.

Good Morning!

Supposed to get up in the mid-70s here today, and be quite windy too. Well, I can already tell the wind is in gear - the house has been making noises all morning. Hopefully, I'll get outside sometime today, and since my foot and leg are feeling better, I may even try to go for a run, or at least a brisk walk.

So... If DR MattH started walking north about now... And I started walking south... I guess we could meet up in South Hill, VA, sometime next week.

I have Bride and Prejudice in the DVD player at home but haven't seen it yet.

This weekend we are attending the Bat Mitzvah of the Vixter's best friend Emily

We have never been to as temple or a Bat Mitzvah celebration before so we are all quite looking forward to this occasion.

The Vixter is a little overwhelmed by the prospect of sitting through three hours of ceremony, most of which we have been assured, will be in Hebrew, but for Emily she is going to be there.

Media check: CD, in the car on the way to that meeting - Wendy Wasserstein's The Sisters Rosensweig, a recording of the LA Theatre Works production starring Jamie Lee Curtis, JoBeth Williams, Caroline Aaron, Tony Roberts, and John Vickery (who we saw as Henry Higgens here in Dayton last fall).

iPod, as I type - Cincinnati Pops plays Andrew Lloyd Webber.

DVD - Madagascar

VCR - nothing

Good morning all. No, Jed and I have not fallen off the face of the earth, we're just busy moving these days. The process has been a slow one thus far, but should pick up speed dramatically when we get his grandfather's truck this weekend to move the big stuff. The weatherman seems to be giving us a one day window, Sunday, between storms, and that is when we intend to get the bulk of the furniture moving done.
Meanwhile, I've got the bug that seems to be going around (I blame Jose) and it has made itself at home in my throat. My speaking voice is pathetic, nearly gone yesterday. This makes trying to control a room full of two year olds really difficult...

Most of the networks have new shows on tonight. The CBS dramas are all new, but are preempted here for the ACC Basketball Tournament. Thankfully, I don't watch them. I'll be having the DVR pick up IN JUSTICE, CONVICTION, and MONK.

Gregg had mentioned wanting to see the movie of SORDID LIVES, and I do have it, so I suspect we'll be seeing it tonight after dinner.
