Hello, Page 2!

I got a good report from my M.D. today - but it was a nix on working on Shakespeare al fresco.

One wag on the Facebook page said he thought "al fresco" meant "without underwear" until he looked it up.....

That reminds me of the jerk who played Harry when I played Sarah in COMPANY.  He thought "a piece of Mahler's" meant - candy.

My mother has declared war on the chipmunks in the backyard. No hula-hoops for them this Christmas.

The vacuuming is finished and Thatch is scared out of his mind.  He does not like the vacuum cleaner.  Stella went into hiding, but Thatch faced the monster.

There are so many funny lines in THE WOMEN.....that it would be difficult to choose....

But last night I really laughed at Rosalind Russell at the fashion show when one of the models practically came out and said that she herself had been sleeping with RR's husband....

And as she walked away, RR said:  "Did you get her innuendo?"

DR George, Henry sounds like a very friendly cat, much like Annabelle.

Yes, he can be very friendly.  And he's BIG.  I think he weighs close to 20 pounds! :o

I like disaster movies.

My favorites are the AIRPORT movies.....and THE TOWERING INFERNO.....

Earthquakes, bees, and meteors headed for earth - not so much.

My biggest disappointment with THE POSEIDON ADVENTURE was that we didn't get a final ocean shot....just that tight shot of the hull as everyone climbed out.....

I wanted to see a pan that showed us what was left......

SPOILERS!!!! >:(

George I am sorry about Mama Mia.  Sadly I think it was the right call to make.

Probably. :-\

And there's the story that Elaine Stritch told...she thought Mahler's was something like a pastry shop. ;D

Last night I was playing on youtube, and I had to turn off the computer and get ready for bed, so I thought, tomorrow the computer's history will tell me what site I was on.  This morning, like a fool, I absent-mindedly cleared the history, and I've spent literally hours trying to find it again.  Damn damn damn.

Listening/watching the news in the kitchen we heard 'BREAKING NEWS".  When the announcement was Biden has chosen his running mate we both walked over to watch the news.

So much for "breaking".  It was just he will announce the person later today.  ::)

I hope it is one of my top two picks.  One I prefer over the other, the other one politically is a better choice.

I had included a link to the story about Lopez.  When I clicked on "continue" on the page sirens went off on my computer and it locked everything to protect my computer from a virus.  :o

Bernard Herrmann does one of the Ives symphonies and I like it, but everyone hates it because it's slow.  I had no idea Variations on America was a comic number - I'll listen again.  And I did enjoy symphony one, at least as done by Gould.

Oh, no.  My dad had a couple of his records when I was a kid.
