My doggie is lying on my foot, my landlords are sitting in the yard sipping wine and invited me to have a glass, the moon is blue. It's a nice night.

Jane: I thought Calendar Girls was too long - it would have been much cuter if they ended the movie with the calendar getting made and fulfilling its goal of buying the couch instead of going into the whole "dangers of fame" rigamarole.

Jennifer: The Amish show should be on Global tomorrow night I believe... I'm not sure when though exactly - probably around prime time

John Fogerty sang about  "Blue Moon Nights" on his "Blue Swamp" Cd.
Which of course sort of connects to the sub topic of Plagiarism. I wonder if he has been the only songwriter taken to court for plagiarising himself.

So the moon is a weapon of mass destruction. I remember seeing a flag "flying" there. Should someone invade just in case!

I think being hit by the moon would be an interesting way to go. I don't think I'd DUCK and COVER. Just a personal choice, folks.

Sleeping in a corner somewhere. He likes to curl up in odd places for the night. The other night he slept near my window.

I'm feeling totally mellow for some reason. It's not the wine - I only had a quarter of a glass. Must be the blue moon.

WHEW!  Made it.

I have been trying to catch up on all the posts that I have been missing lately, but I don't seem to be able to stay connected long enough to get very far.

I am still trying to figure out what the three worst musicals are that Noel mentioned. I am assuming (a dangerous thing to do) that MISS SAIGON is the Eurotrash, but what are the other two shows?  Are they DRACULA and CRAZY FOR YOU?  And now I have absolutely no idea what show Noel went to see tonight that stars someone who was supposed to star in a different show at the same theatre, only oppossite Judd Hirsch.....  Did I get all of that story correct???

If tonight is indeed a blue moon, it probably means that the moon is having the same kind of computer problems that I am having!

I just came in from my backyard checking out the moon.  I said, "Hey." and she said, "Hey back at you." (We had a "thing" a few years back.)

She was artfully covered with chiffony, wispy clouds.  I said, "Uh, why aren't you wearing blue tonight?"

And she said, "Why aren't you on a beach somewhere dancing with someone half your age?"

Ouch.  Stung twice in one day.

wlajb: As it stands, we're only going to do one matinee, Sunday the 15th of August, so you might want to book that date soon.  Unless we have a theater party booking, we've scuttled the matinees in favor of a sixth week (and possibly a seventh if all is going well).  Go to plays411.com/whatif and it's a breeze from there.

The moon is supposed to be a harsh mistress. (I don't know from personal experience).

I agree with you, dear reader Emily, about Calendar Girls being too long; I kept wandering where the film was heading to....

That Calendar has too many pages!!!

Just returned from my evening meriments. TITANIC won Best Production at the awards night, so the director of the show asked several of us back to his house after the ceremony, and I stayed WAY TOO long.

But she is, oh, so generous under the right circumstances...

BK, once the show opens, do you go every night, or check in once in a while,  or never go back, or what?

I've worked for directors that did one or the other of those depending on which director we're talking about.
