BOILED IN OIL

Well, you've read the notes, the notes were oily, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they can't come home until gas prices drop.

I was up because I'd hoped to read a story in the paper relating to information about the latest illegal activities perpetrated by our chinchy bassa developer.  I guess they're still working on gathering all the information and fact-checking. The developer apparently thinks he's above the law, and so far, the city has agreed with him, since he's best buddies with the mayor and the powerful concilman who owns downtown.

Hopefully not this time...

DR Edisaurus - what a fun video clip!   Thanks   :)

One thing I love is that for the opening scene of the dance number (not to put any editors out of work!) is that it's all one shot. So all of the dancers, camera moves, etc. had to be perfectly timed and choreographed to work. It is really well done!

Yeah, like I'll ever have time to sit down and watch 'em, what with my work schedule.

Eight hour days, six days a week, and yesterday they asked me to stay over by close to three hours, to cover some of the other cashiers while they were in a meeting.

And Saturday, I don't get off until eleven in the frickkin' night.  And der Brucer will be expecting dinner!

*sigh*

I came across this clever bit some time ago, where someone had taken the initial letters of the word MNEMONIC and formed an acronym to make it easier to remember how to spell the danged word, but now I can't remember what it was.

Feeling better vibes for DR TCB.

Thanks for the Report on the Upper West Coast HHW Mini Meet!

DR GEORGE thanks for the photos and congrats on Antony & Cleopatra.

Vibes for the LAST STARFIGHTER production.

DR MBARNUM sent me a couple of those Spy Thrillers, and Mr Harrison is certainly very nice to look at....and the locations were usually interesting.

Loved the clip, DR EDISAURUS!!!

Morning all. I'm at work on a desktop after my exciting foray into laptop posting last night.

I have a full day at work. For the first time since I began working here we don't get an official half-day off for the start of the Memorial Day weekend. Well, I fixed them. Since I come in early anyway, I started work early and I get to leave early. At 2:30. It's not noon but it's better than 4pm. At 2:30 I will get myself to Penn Station and take the 3:05 train to Ronkonama for the long weekend.

I have a meeting from 10-12. Ugh, ugh, ugh!!!

I'm taping our usual Friday night Britcoms and we will watch them at a later date. I have to install some programs on Anthony's mother's computer and we will also see friends and relax. Anthony will stay on Long Island for the week to take care of various and sundried duties of sondom and grandsondom while I return to the city sometime on Monday. That means I get a whole week to play with the laptop. I also have to finish loading it up so it's ready to go to Wisconsin. Then when Anthony returns he needs to play with it so he's comfortable using it. Although once he gets used to a device he's Ok, he's initially wary of working with new electronics (hence my decision to buy the laptop and get it ready for him to take to Wisconsin). After two months of using the laptop I think he'll be fine. He's a hunt and peck typist anyway so getting used to the keyboard won't be as much of a hassle for him. I'm an old school typist (learned in 11th grade on a manual typewriter) and I find laptop keyboards difficult to use sometimes.

As for him checking in here, somehow I doubt it. He's one of the group of Partners Who Don't Post. He likes hearing about it but doesn't want to post about it. But at least he will be able to keep in touch with the world through e-mail.

I'm not listening to anything now and I doubt I will listen to anything during the day. I wish I could listen to something other than droning during the 2 hour meeting.
