RLP: I don't know who he is - he used to cause quite a bit of trouble for Kritzerland, but somehow we won him over and he's now a fan.  He's tough, though.

He "claims" to be a friend of Robin Esterhammer, but he's been leading the "off with his head" charge ever since Lukas posted that "Slipstream" wasn't properly cleared.  He "reminds" me of Robert John Guttke at times, but I think he must live in the L.A. area.

Oh, Jaack, Ja--ack, breaking news from Variety:

Among the shows that nabbed orders were "Smash," the Broadway-set drama with Debra Messing that NBC Entertainment topper Robert Greenblatt brought with him from Showtime,

Hello all

I did think it was allergies at first but I am quite sure now that it is a full blown rhinovirus  a couple of weeks ago one of my coworkers was suffering from a similar thing - I am quite sure I caught it from her

Where is our DR Laura?  I hope she has not been threatened by the wildfires - I think they were quite near to her home  -

This morning's article only stated that NBC was very interested.  This new breaking news was about them actually ordering the pilot.  It sounds like it's a sure bet for series.

I'm fine. I went out to the arboretum today. The fire burned all the way up to the entrance sign and part of one trail in the back. They were still washing fire retardant off of everything.

For the Lawrence Welk fans here, I just read this:  Norma Zimmer, TV’s ‘Champagne Lady,’ Dies At 87.

Hello all.  I should be packing and getting ready for my trip, but have found myself just sitting and playing on the computer.   I don't think packing for the trip should be too tough.  Classes at the law school, dinner at a rib joint and a trip to the barbeque cookoff.  I don't think I'll need to pack anything but casual wear.

I also can't find my new watch.   I think Ricky has knocked it off of something and it's hiding somewhere.  Just don't know where it is

Feel better DR Jane.

I guess I did not understand what you meant when you first said you were getting a pin put in. Because next thing I knew you were saying you were having surgery!  What exactly did they do?

I read that Fox cancelled Human Target. I really liked that show.

I also read that NBC renewed Chuck.

Re: Human Target. My biggest peeve is that they cancel shows after the season has ended. I always find it so unfair especially for long running shows. If they want to cancel a show fine. But at least let the writers have the chance to write a proper ending.

Thanks DR Jane.  Tomorrow morning I drive to Omaha and then it's only a 1 1/2 hour flight to Memphis. I have the cat/house sitter lined up, bought extra cat food, and have met with Edith and reviewed all our cases to make sure I go to the right classes.  I've been so busy and worked so hard lately that it really doesn't seem like I'm really leaving town.
