Hoping DD Zach is doing well today.  Nice piano news from DR SINGDAW!

Ruth's Chris.....I have never eaten there because I can't afford to.....but I enjoy reading about it.

Nice photos from DR Dr JOHN G.  And more nice photos from the International DR VIXMOM.

Our show was good last night, and we had our largest audience yet.  People love the show, which is good.  And the cast is having a good time.  Now we are off until Wednesday when we begin our second week of performances.

DR Elmore, I had read that about The Gershwin's Porgy and Bess.  Still, it was nice to hear the music and see the story, even if it was not what the originators had intended.

It's a good thing I read about the story online, because I really couldn't understand much of what they were singing. Every show is like that at the Gammage theater, it seems.

And I am home. It's a zoo outside: Sixth Avenue is blocked with the Puerto Rican parade and the uptown side of Broadway between 72nd and 86th Streets isclosed for a street fair so all uptown traffic is clogging up Amsterdam Avenue.

It's good to be home and out of the madness.

Happy Tonys Day, all!

I'm off in the next hour to rehearse and be a part of this lovely event honoring Barbara Cook, as we watch the Tonys on NY time.

Have a wonderful Tonys evening, everyone!

I'm up.  The thoughtful neighbors waited until ten-fifteen to come outside, make noise for five minutes, then disappear never to be heard from again today.  I don't get it.  But then the phone rang anyway so up I was.

No brush up - no one ever gets serious about it, so why waste the time.

Perhaps some video....time will tell.

I went swimming today at the outdoor pool near my house that was free today. I was annoyed because they said that because there were more than 30 people they could not open the deep end for deep end swim.  I really could not understand the logic of this.  It is boiling hot out. Of course there are more than 30 people. So they will never open the deep end?  I like to do exercises there (much much prefer it where i can't touch the bottom).

My niece's pool has the deep end open whenever anyone asks for it (which is 50% of the time).

I tried to ask them how this made sense since the deep end would never be open on a hot day. They tried to say it was a legal rule. But if there are less than 25 people then there would probably only be one life guard. They are implying that it is dangerous to have a lot of people in the deep end. So it is less dangerous to have one lifeguard watching all the little kids by the stairs and the deep end at the same time.  If they are so worried then just have another life guard standing by the deep end or limit the amount of people allowed in the deep end at once.

Since the Tony Awards are tape delayed on the Left Coast, I thought we normally avoided spoilers for the benefit of the Pacific time zone viewers.  If that is not going to be the case this year, the decision should be made soon.

Sunday afternoon greetings!  I woke up at 5:30 this morning as if we were going to Lima, but today was a church-with-Rob-and-Mary-Linda day.  When we got home from there and lunch with them at Panera, I had to have a nap.  Never would make it through the Tony broadcast otherwise.

That number from GOLDEN RAINBOW is certainly trying hard to be "now" and "with it."

Congratulations to the Vixwomen!!!!!

I'm not surprised the prep time on the cake was far more than 15 minutes, especially the first time making it.  Sometimes these times are figured by someone who is an expert at making the dish.

DR Vixmom did you also win for best costume?  You look great!!!!   What was the prize your are holding up?
