In the "should have" category, Tony Danza really should have gotten a nomination, as should the book and score for Honeymoon in Vegas.

Nancy Opel and Rob McClure are surprising omissions as well, unless you consider that they just decided to overlook the whole production of "Honeymoon in Vegas."

I quite enjoyed "Honeymoon in Vegas," much more than I ever expected.

I was also backstage at Hairspray at the same time as BK. This was actually the first time I met Bruce in person. I was seated a few rows behind him and went over to introduce myself before the curtain went up.

I had plan to go over to him and ask if he was in The First Nudie Musical and then ask if he was Alan Abelew. But I chickened out.

Backstage I met Harvey Firestein. I told he him we were in a movie together and he went Yuch! in his deep deep baritone voice.

It is too darn hot in Tacoma.  I was up at six because Nicky was hungry, and he wanted me to know that he had thrown up on the living room carpet.  I gave him breakfast, cleaning up his mess, and then got showered and dressed.  I am meeting my friend, Sandy, for brunch, but then I am coming directly home.  I will not be attending CABARET, because it is too darn hot!

I didn't know that that song was from that show!          ;D

Glad that you seem to have found alternate accommodations, DR Jane.

Thank you.  It is a shame the bed and bedding aren't better here.  The people are nice and the room is fine.  Bedding that falls off at night just doesn't work for us.  Someone really needs to teach these people how to put sheets on a bed.  It is laughable how much sheet is tucked in at the bottom and missing at the top.

Taking a break from brush clearing.

I'm sorely tempted to go see Goodspeed's GUYS AND DOLLS.  It only plays till June 20.

I'm up in my bedroom, wating my non-hi-def TV, posting on my tablet.  I won't be here on HHW all day, mainly because of the limited battery time on my tablet.  It can't recharge as I use it...it needs to be turned off to charge.

In 2006, we tried to see Helen Mirren in The Queen in Westchester County, NY. The audience behaved revoltingly. Fights were breaking out, people were yelling; we missed the first 15 minutes of the movie due to all of this crappy behavior. The audience literally drowned out the soundtrack. People were ejected. The management refused to start the movie over. And we haven't been back since.

I can't imagine a movie audience being that rowdy.  I've never experienced one that bad...at least, not yet.

BK, I believe I was there in the room when you correctly predicted Alice Ripley's Tony right to her.

Thank you, DR FJL.  I hope you sent it special delivery to get there in time for computation.

Yes....I think someday THE TROUBLE WITH ACCOUNTANTS will be done again....perhaps I will be its lucky charm, and I will be included in the Broadway production.

I like the recording of HONEYMOON IN VEGAS.....

Good point.  I'll fax it over right now.  I forgot there's no mail pick-up today.

Just saw Victoria Clark being dressed by Anna Wintour, as well as Beth Malone.   A lot of skin being shown, but really nice dresses.

There's a report now on TV about June 15th estimated tax payments.  The accountant said "If you're short, you may have to pay more by next Monday."

That just doesn't seem fair.

I just read this article about Tony predictions...they don't agree with BK's prediction:

http://my.xfinity.com/articles/entertainment/20150607/US--Tony-Predictions/

Quote
ACTRESS-MUSICAL

Will win: Kelli O'Hara. Should win: Kelli O'Hara.

O'Hara's role as the stubborn, strong school teacher in "The King and I" was blissfully sung and acted, a tour de force. Sure, Kristin Chenoweth in "On the Twentieth Century" was superbly quirky, and Chita Rivera was regal and chilly in "The Visit." But both those women have Tonys and O'Hara really needs to have one after a few years of exceptional work.

Mark Kennedy can be reached at http://twitter.com/KennedyTwits

I'd put my money on BK's prediction.
