I am on Season Two of the Father Brown mysteries. is anyone else watching them? They remind me a bit of "Midsomer Murders" with at times more humor. The one i'm watching now has a bit of Rear Window meets Mapp and Lucia, a killing at a summer fete with fighting over the best cakes and pies.

My friend Kristi, who some of you met at the NYC Kritzerland shows, is at "Anthocon" (http://www.anthocon.com/) this weekend. She just called to say she had mentioned Kritzerland in some conversation or other, and someone shouted "Kritzerland! Bruce Kimmel!" There was some discussion of needing passports for Canada. I know a little bit about this... For the last several years a passport book or passport card is needed. Alternatively, there are a few states, including New York, that issue "enhanced driver's licenses," which are acceptable. I know that DR Kate has one. When you live in the Buffalo area, it's not unusual to go to Canada for the afternoon or evening. The passport card and enhanced license are only good when traveling by land or sea. You need a passport book when flying.
