I am on Season Two of the Father Brown mysteries.  is anyone else watching them?  They remind me a bit of "Midsomer Murders" with at times more humor.  The one i'm watching now has a bit of Rear Window meets Mapp and Lucia, a killing at a summer fete with fighting over the best cakes and pies.

Let Us Forget About The Tony Awards For A MInute And Think About The Academy Awards Next Year. I Have Just Been Blown Away By A Movie That Should Win Several Awards Next Year LOVE AND MERCY. This Is The Story Of Brian Wilson(THE BEACH BOYS) and It Is The First Time(IMHO) That The Best Actor Award Will Be Shared for Playing The Same Role By Paul Dano(Young Brian) and John Cusack(Older Brian) The Two Of Them are Equally Magnificent. The Movie Is Not Your Usual Bio-Pic. It Is Something Very Special.Go See It !....And Now ...Back To The Tonys.

Back from a long Lima day.  Listened to a lot of rambling stories from elderly parishioners...

I am intrigued by this film DR ARNOLDMBROCKMAN.

Thanks again DR FJL.....yes if the IRS is penalizing taxpayers by height, it is indeed egregious.

My friend Kristi, who some of you met at the NYC Kritzerland shows, is at "Anthocon" (http://www.anthocon.com/) this weekend.  She just called to say she had mentioned Kritzerland in some conversation or other, and someone shouted "Kritzerland! Bruce Kimmel!"  His name is Hal Bodner, and he's waving HI from Portsmouth, New Hampshire as we speak.

Tony Yazbeck was asked to name his favorite Tony moment and he answered "We'll Take a Glass Together."

There was some discussion of needing passports for Canada.   I know a little bit about this...  For the last several years a passport book or passport card is needed.  Alternatively, there are a few states, including New York, that issue "enhanced driver's licenses," which are acceptable.  I know that DR Kate has one.  When you live in the Buffalo area, it's not unusual to go to Canada for the afternoon or evening.   The passport card and enhanced license are only good when traveling by land or sea.  You need a passport book when flying.
