I can see DR John G. shaking his head, and saying "No."

You know the struggle I put up. Herculean.

So my new supervisor is a coworker who wants an early advocate of mine, a mentor of sorts, and a Lutheran. His wife works for the Girl Scouts and he's my cookie dealer. I'm happy.

I've been working on the railroad - outdoors for about three hours, and just have to collapse for a bit.

I'm sure that's both good for you and not so good for you.  People have developed serious death from working hard outside in snow.  The good part is that if you are pacing yourself, you are probably doing yourself some extreme good.  If you are getting frustrated and over-exerting, you are probably doing yourself some extreme bad.

I'm all for collapsing and resting.  But make sure you can get up and move on from there.

Sometimes you have to clear your cache DR FJL.

I'll try that as well.

Drat!  Didn't work.  What I get is a white screen at the center of which is the image of a closed lock.  A circle is around it and there is a revolving bit of blue going around the circle.  Round and round it goes, but when it will stop, nobody knows.

I've sent my order by going to Paypal.  Made payment of $32 to White Sheik, etc.  Hope that's all right!

Understood.  I'm not snow shoveling -- that's what gets people in trouble -- just a little scraping and such in small spurts.  Most of the work is running the snowblower, the leaf blower a little bit, salting and sanding, that kind of thing.  And it is indeed good exercise.  I'd just rather be doing other things.

It's a Herringbone kind of day. "Not President, Please" has taken on a whole new meaning.

I've been getting orders so I'm not sure why there's a problem. It sounds like what FJL is seeing is it trying to connect to PayPal site. You can always go directly to the site

I had a problem last night, too. The Add to Cart button was missing the first time I went to the page.

I know I should go out and snap a few pictures.

Maybe in a little while.

Or I could just post some pictures from the Presidents Day Blizzard of aught three for y'all's viewing pleasure.

Alec McCowen has died. I always enjoyed him, especially in Frenzy.

TOD:

We're likely to skip SNL this week, since Alec Baldwin is the host.

I can't wait to see him trash the idiot Orange Cheetoh!  He's always spot on and the Tramp Klown Kar keeps filling up with more grifters, whores, and thieves to ridicule.

Alec McCowen has died. I always enjoyed him, especially in Frenzy.

When I was working for the Drama Book Shop in the 1980s, McCowen was performing his "Gospel of St Matthew," I think that was the gospel, at one of the churches in the theatre district.  I always wanted to see him onstage.

Mark. It's the shortest of the four. I saw a production of it in Louisville but sadly with another actor. I had wanted to see him in that and in Richard Wnilbur's verse translation of The Misanthrope with Diana Rigg.

Friday afternoon greetings!  I was outta here shortly after 9 this morning to be in Centerville for my monthly art journaling class.  We had fun scraping paint onto paper, then making little books.  Also learned some image transfer techniques.

I'm up again - was up at seven-thirty for some reason, got up, did the Facebook stuff, then went back to bed and fell asleep at nine-thirty and got back up at noon, so I think there's eight hours in there.

Have gotten more orders this morning and no one's written about problems, so it must be a Paypal glitch - let me know if there are more issues.

I just tried the checkout process and it went all the way until I cancelled out of it.  The spinning lock that FJL saw is the log-in to Paypal's site - sometimes that takes about thirty seconds, but should connect.

Fred, please tell Skip how much I enjoy Herringbone. It is truly one of the most deliciously twisted musicals I have ever encountered.
