Then this evening, I'm ushering for the Seattle Men's Chorus and the Seattle Women's Chorus, who will be performing together at The Washington Center for the Performing Arts! I've never seen the Men's Chorus live, so I'm really looking forward to this!

I don't think I've ever shared this before - here's Sami doing my song Annie - which kind of became her signature song - the difference here is this is the ALS benefit from two years ago and this version has a wonderful orchestration by Lanny Meyers - the band is rough a couple of times (the rehearsal was better in that regard) but Sami is stellar. To think that one of the producers put their foot down the year before about Sami appearing and won that fight, and then tried to do it again and enlist the aid of the fellow producers is nauseating - now that producer denies it, but there's no denying it because it was witnessed by more than just me, and it happened only because I put MY foot down and made it a dealbreaker. I knew this would stop the show and boy did it - and that probably also didn't sit well with the producer. But that's another story for another day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=04b8dkGhTRw

I love 42nd Street - the musical. I have seen a touring company, a community theatre production, and I have been in it once playing - hmmmm.....the stage manager-choreographer.....Andy Lee....I LOVED DOING IT!!

I am getting ready to leave for an ANNIE Workshop that the director wanted to do. I told her she would be up to her elbows in LITTLE GIRLS - she didn't believe me.....we have THRTY-ONE signed up....and even though registration was requested, I'm sure a few more will show up...

I am helping read the scenes with the darlings.....there will also be music/song help and instructions....and dance instruction....it runs from 10 a.m. to Noon.

The best thing is that it is at the Kerr Theatre - the little black box theatre at DePauw where I did THE TROUBLE WITH ACCOUNTANTS. And of course it will be great to see everyone again....and get back into the SWING of things....for 2018.

I slept an hour later, until 7:30, and Annabelle and Thatch behaved well enough to allow me to do it. At 4:30 Annabelle reminded me it was time to rouse myself and feed them.

I need to barrel through "The Lambeth Walk" today so I can spend tomorrow on How to Succeed . . .

I want to deliver all of Act one to Joshie on Tuesday when I go to the dress rehearsal for Grand Hotel.

Thank you all for the vibes for my friend Pam. Her birthday was this week and I had noticed that she had not picked up her e-card. I now know why. Emily's email told me that her parents had not told their children until a couple of weeks ago and last night friends were notified.

Emily, her husband Ken, and children live in Chicago where she teaches French. Pam matched us up well when she asked me to be a godparent.

I hope that by tomorrow Pam is well enough after yesterday's dialysis for a phone call. I don't think we'll make our 50th anniversary in September 2018, and that kills me.
