Emily -

I think it's only fair that you resubmit your marriage proposal now that you've had some guidance from the Swishster...

And I know what you were trying to read TCB? Even Gods have such thoughts it seems. I would never have gone that far for Ben Casey - especially only for sheet music. I preferred watching Medic and love the theme music "Blue Star".

I never had a dirty mind till I met you, Ozzie.

Was that the name of the theme music for MEDIC?  I thought they used a different theme for that show.

PARTS I STILL WANT TO PLAY

Musical:  Sweeney Todd

Non-musical:  George In WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF?

For DR Emily: Don't you have anything to say about the lack of godess status! I thought you would be outraged :)

Bye all. Need to make dinner.

Cookies:  Real shortbread cookies made with lots and lots of butter.  Or Toll House.  Or Peanut Butter / Oatmeal. Or just Peanut Butter.  Or just Oatmeal.  Or maybe just a plain bowl of granulated sugar.

I tried to post this a minute ago, but the system on my end seemed to choke even though I cut the size of the picture WAY down.

I'll try again with a picture of my favorite doctor.

Re: Robert Reed as a transsexual on "Medic": Yes, he got an Emmy nod . . .
but think what he had to give up!

And who remembers John Davidson guest-starring as a cross-dresser on "The Streets of San Francisco"?  A truly harrowing portrayal.  He, of course, pays the ultimate price for his crime (not the cross-dressing, that was just sauce for the goose).

Did someone say Hah?

Well, I do believe the time is here... time for me to go AWOL for a few days.  I'm headed home for Thanksgiving, and since my mother does not have a computer, I'll be E&T.

The happiest of Thanksgivings to all my HHW friends (or just a happy Thursday to my foreign HHW friends :D )!  I'll rejoin this merry troupe on Saturday!

One of the DVDs being released next week that I'm REALLY looking forward to is TO LIVE AND DIE IN L.A. I really liked it when it came out in the 1980s, and I'm looking forward to the MGM special edition to be released Tuesday.

So, he's asked me to write it down for him.

Yes, you did mention Joe Gannon earlier today, but I had no memory of the character name at the time.

But did you mention Chad Everett or name the show, "Medical Center"?  I think NOT!

Hah!

ASK BK DAY

1) Since you write and post your new column earlier now, why are you still afraid of the cleaning lady with the evil eye?

2) Is Kritzerland (the label not the book) going to follow the concept of Rhino and Varese which both have clubs and limited pressings of their titles or will you be inventing your own model for the new releases for the label?

3) Will you be re-releasing any other label's forgotten library items on the Kritzerland label?

3A) Will you being do more co-productions like Jeepers Creepers?

3B) Do you have the rights to any of the previous material you recorded and released through Varese and Bay Cities that was not released through the "other label"?

4) What is the current status of the film The Importance of Being Meltz and Ernest  and the stage version of The First Nudie Musical? And would you consider submitting the show for a reading as part of the ASCAP series?

5) When researching or getting inspiration from nudie films did you ever come across or see Sinderella and The Golden Bra and Goldilocks and The Three Bares aka Singing in the Sun?  both made in the 60's and both claiming to be "nudie musicals" !

So, fiance, Maya and the rest of my harem... when's my next chat?

Harem?!  I think not!  I am not a part of any guy's harem.  I am the sultana.

Michael--that's hilarious!

Noel--such a cute pic!  She's adorable!

Swishy--that was a magnificent proposal to Skippy.  Bravo!

I love everyone's choice of roles!  I wish I could type more but I gotta run...my friend and I are going to see "Elf."

Later!

That's Treubie, one of our choir members.  In reality, we look nothing alike, but, at one point, he served as a stand-in for me.

How can I explain this?  Treubie was at Joy's bachelorette party, and I was not.  However, they had a life-sized photo of my head, and some five plus feet of butcher's paper.  They needed to draw an outline of me to put under my head picture on the wall so they could play the classic bachelorette party game, Pin the Unmentionable-on-a-Family-Site-Body-Part on the Donkey == er, Groom.  But I wasn't there, so, they looked around at the men in attendance, searching for someone to outline who could approximate my size.  And Truebie, who is much taller than I am, got the nod.  Unlike Robert Reed, he didn't have to sacrifice anything dear to him in the process.

Question for BK:  When you've been asked to look at a show before it heads to (or opens on) Broadway and give your opinion (I think that you'd mentioned that you were asked to see Wicked), how detailed do you get with what you tell them?  Do you give specific line changes or just a general "I think you should change this section" or "You might consider going in this direction" or do you just say "I like it" or "I don't like it"?

And what other shows (if any) have you been asked to give advice about?
