Now enjoying a Greek salad for dinner. So fresh, so good.

Monday evening greetings!  It's been a very quiet day here.  We both spent a lot of time reading on our sunny front porch and I helped my friend Sharon get started on Google Hangouts.  We may be using that for our book group meeting next week.

Sounds like a good solution.

I'm watching Stagecoach, which I started the other night and never got around to finishing. The fight at the end is still exciting.

There are hours and hours of extras on this disc, including an interview, of course, with Peter Bogdanovich. I will watch the interview with John Ford himself.

Now listening to music - going through all the symphonies of David Diamond.  The first four are really to my liking.  Not really melodic, but tonal and very American sounding.

If it's done by morning, probably Wednesday and Thursday so that I have time to let folks know and make sure I have all the settings right so it can't be downloaded.

Today felt like a normal day at the office.  The interruptions were interrupting my interruptions. I did manage to get a couple things done that needed to be done. Which is a good thing

I didn't finish the brief I worked on for about 4 1/2 hours yesterday, but it isn't due until Saturday so I have time to spare

I must say this is the first day since I've been working at home that it really did feel normal. I'm still learning the process for video hearings and other changes in the time of COVID, but so is everyone else so that's fine

Our state isn't going to have a mandatory shelter in place or stay home order.  Almost anywhere you would want to go is shut down and our Governor says 90% of the jobs here are essential to the food chain so they can stay open.  The sad thing is it's the restaurants and small businesses that are getting hurt the most

I was wondering if a facebook watch party makes it so everyone can talk to each other and see each other. I've never tried it, has anyone else?

Let's see......I backed into my neighbor's girlfriend's car the other day.  Her damage was enough to report it to insurance.  I don't have a deductible on hers, but on mine there is a $500 ded.  The estimate from the photo thingy from the company was absurd.  The paint is cracked and chipped on my bumper and the estimate is over $1000. They say they have to replace things that aren't even broken.   I've been watching Youtube videos and am thinking about repairing it myself.  It's quite a process, but if I can take a beat up old farm table and make it look really nice, I should be able to fix the paint on a bumper.  It would save me $500....well probably closer to $400 after buying all the supplies

I don't think the insurance adjuster was used to people telling him that they don't understand why they want to replace this or that when the estimate is twice the deductible. He got quite flustered when I asked why they were replacing the cover on the spare tire when the cover had 0 damage and isn't even connected to the bumper.   He tried to tell me the parts come together that way....lol, one visit to a parts site online told me that's not true

If my car was brand new, I wouldn't be so picky, but it's 8 years old and paid for.  It's like they had to add things on to make it enough over the deductible that I'd say, "Oh yes, I'll go to your partner body shop".   Well, I can sand, I can use putty, I can prime, paint and clear coat.....and if I mess it up....I can go get it fixed.   It's a challenge and what else am I doing now days.
