Well, you've read the notes, the notes were city-fied, and now it is time for you to post until the cows in the city come home.

I'm waiting for my last load of laundry. I was really sluggish today.  Had a lot to do.

Since I didn't get much done on my house this summer, and since I've never gotten the ceiling fan in my kitchen fixed, I decided to finally replace some of the light fixtures in my house.  I haven't changed any since I've moved in.  None of them are original.  Anyway, I picked some out and got them this morning.  I didn't like one of them so I took it back and found something I really liked....then I got home and realized another wouldn't work out...so back to the store.  Since the electrician is coming at 8AM it isn't like I had time to waste.   I have been shopping around but....anyway. I do think this new one will work.   If not, I'll be returning it in the morning and may just have to hook up one of them myself.

Tomorrow at 8:00 the plumber is coming too.  The outside faucet doesn't like to shut off once you open it.  So I'm going to get that fixed too.  I do have a couple things I can work on at home for the office.  I should have done them this weekend, but just couldn't get myself to do it.

I just discovered the new topic on my way to bed.

Good morning and good night, all.

Vibes for those traveling.

"My Fair Lady" vibes for Jose, and "Dearest Enemy" vibes for Elmore.

TOD:

Definitely the 2 week trip Sandy (before we were married) and I took to the UK in 1996.

We spent 3-4 days in London, then took a bus tour North to Scotland and back down to London.

Favorite parts of the trip for me were the "Jack the Ripper Walking Tour" in London and Edinburgh Castle, both of which inspired later stories and/or screenplays.

We saw a couple of Foxes in the backyard  earlier and a deer this afternoon - the neighbors called to warn that a mama bear and her two cubs were walking through the neighborhood but we did not spy them

TOD - hard to say

Hawaii was amazing - a trip I took before I met Vixdad

Vixdad and my trip to England in 1986 was wonderful

The trip through Banth , Jasper, Edmonton and Drumheller with my inlaws, Vixdad and a 6 year old Vixterwas awesome

While we wait for the danged thing to work, I will say that Metro North got me back to the exurbs safely and soundly and I am enjoying the home fires.  Without the fires.  It was a superbly pleasant evening in the company of BK, FJL, Ben, Ant, and Holly.  A few of us had the Best Banana Cream Pie Ever.  And no one had to take the Seat of Shame.
