The tileman and the electrician should be here within the next couple of hours.

The Tileman and The Electrician--wasn't that a Cat Stevens album?

I could go for a bowl of Count Chocula with Bacardi right now.

Yes, we wanted to do something besides pile ice cream on top and we found the mini windmills while rummaging through a tourist store. They were a perfect (non-edible) topping.

The animated Mr. T had his own "crispy sweet corn and oat" cereal in 1984. It looked like a T-shaped yellow puff.

Monday Wednesday morning greetings!  In so many ways, today feels like a Monday:  it's my first work day of the week, everybody's depressed about the manager's impending resignation, and I got stuck in a HUGE traffic jam that made me 10 minutes late.

TOD - As a kid, I liked Alpha-Bits (appropriate for a librarian-to-be, dontcha think?) and as an adult I like Cheerios, Crispix, and Raisin Bran.

I like Cinammon Life, Rice and Wheat Chex, Grape Nuts, and Cap'n Crunch...though the last has a tendency to rip the roof of my mouth apart. I eat cereal infrequently these days.

Question for BK or anyone, since Tomovoz brought up Joey Dee and the Starliters, did this group ever do more than two albums?  I have their first that has the Peppermint Twist on it and I have the soundtrack from their rather bad movie, "Hey, Let's Twist".  Whatever happened to Mr. Dee and the the Starliters?

Good morning!

The days are like carbon copies of each other: cool mornings and hot afternoons. My front yard is finally turning brown. Good! No mowing!

Since I'm not a milk fan, I like cereals I can eat out of the box without milk. My favorite is frosted mini-wheats (good for fiber in your diet, too). When I was a kid and made to drink milk and have it in cereal, I ate raisin bran which I still find tasty.

Yep, THE NEPTUNE FACTOR is one of the all-time bombs. I guess when you want to work, any film will do, but it didn't do any of those actors favors.

This afternoon will be filled with finishing the ANGEL episode I started, watching another episode of THE CLOSER, and watching WHO KILLED THE ELECTRIC CAR. The latter is not an especially long documentary, so I should easily be able to finsh those things this afternoon.

I also have last night's BOSTON LEGAL season finale to watch if I can get to it. If not this afternoon, first thing in the evening.

As for tonight, since I didn't get interested in TRAVELER (whose pilot is being repeated tonight leading into a new episode), I'll be watching another long movie this evening.

I have SUPERMAN (Christopher Reeve) on Blu-ray that I think would be perfect for this evening.

I noticed that THE CLOSER is ranked in Amazon's top ten best selling DVDs this morning. I'm so glad lots of people find it as entertaining as I do.

Apparently. initial printing of the 7th and final Harry Potter novel has begun at a print factory in the small town of Poessneck, Germany.  Reportedly, staff at the factory are searched when entering and leaving the factory each day. Furthermore, they are forced to work in "total darkness" to prevent them from reading the book.

Given the logistics of global distribution on this scale, it's amazing to me that there aren't more "leaks" than there are.

Disappointment:  I can view HHW from my new BlackBerry, but like DR Dan (the Man), I can't post.  I get some sort of "session timeout" error message.

I see that the mediocre movie version of A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC is due for release on DVD next week. While the film has many flaws, I really like what's best about it: the new version of "The Glamorous Life," Diana Rigg in a splendid performance as Charlotte, and the three Broadway stalwarts repeating their stage roles (even if they've all lost some of their music in the transition from stage to screen): Len Cariou, Hermione Gingold, and Laurence Guittard, and the staging of "A Weekend in the Country" which is splendid in the movie (and is one of the grandest first act closing numbers ever written for the stage).

Will a LIAR RELY on RAILLERY if the prize to be won is a RARE LILY?

I really like what's best about it

Not to mention Jonathan Tunick's cameo at the top of the film!

TOD:

My absolutely favorite cereal was Quisp!  Sweet, sugary, melt-in-your-mouth and stick-to-your-teeth Quisp!  Loved it!  With or without milk.

Ah, yes, another character creation of Jay Ward!

During your timeout, do you have to stand in a corner facing the wall?

Count Chocula, Frankenberry, and Boo Berry all show up on the grocery shelves around Halloween, and then disappear again.

Guess I'll head down now and read a little more about Henry VIII and his court.

I cleaned the den this morning, so I have a nice long time to read before starting to prepare lunch.

Good Morning!

I'm up, I'm up... And I would actually like to have some oatmeal, but, I believe I shall have some cereal.

Lemmings, they call me.
