Next I watched Monday night's CSI: MIAMI, the season finale with a serial killer at large that involved the entire team. I'm just glad Ryan Wolf is still on the job. He's been my favorite character ever since he was introduced in Season 3, and I've hated how his character has been developed this season.

Next up was last night's BOSTON LEGAL. I liked with case with guest star Michael Gross as a priest on trial for harboring an illegal immigrant. I also liked Jerry Espinson's case with the actress who plays perky resident from GREY'S ANATOMY and her duck.

The birth of Brad and Danise's child during their marriage ceremony was somewhat tedious.

LAW & ORDER: SVU had an interesting case though not unprecidented. A similar story with a female character was done on the mothership L&O about ten years ago.

Since I had some time before turning off the TV for the afternoon, I put in TO CATCH A THIEF. I only got about 20 minutes in, but it's so entertaining I may just have to finish it when I go back down instead of watching THE SOPRANOS or another PLANET EARTH episode.

Some other comments about CBS' schedule for next year:

WITHOUT A TRACE and SHARK swapping time slots. Smart move since CSI has suffered a ratings hit this year, CBS needed a stronger show to bolster the 10 p.m. hour on Thursday.

For those wondering about THE AMAZING RACE. There will be only one edition of the show this year rather than two, and it won't start the season.

Smart of CBS to put that vampire show on after GHOST WHISPERER on Friday night. They should make a compatible pair of shows.

Disappointed that OLD CHRISTINE only got a half season order and will be a midseason replacement. The show deserves better than that.

I guess I will shortly be on my way to rehearsal.  I've just been organizing and throwing away useless trash that has accumulated.

My local Borders provided me with that and Becket, which I'm looking  forward to viewing after reading the comments from you and bk.

Hopefully, my copy of BECKET will be in tomorrow's mail. However, it's doubtful I'd get around to it until the weekend anyway. It will make for a nice Saturday evening film screening.

Still no definite word on VERONICA MARS. It is NOT going to be on the CW's schedule tomorrow, but the network has until June 15th to decide about its ultimate fate. But its chances now do look slim.

I cleaned the den this morning, so I may go down and watch THE LONG HOT SUMMER instead of finishing TO CATCH A THIEF. Since it's not quite two hours, I'll be able to see more of TO CATCH A THIEF when SUMMER is over.

Wednesday evening greetings!  Yikes, it's been a wild 24 hours!

At dinner last night, DS Rob mentioned a few things he'd like to retrieve from his room at UC for his recuperation week here at home, so we went on a little family outing.  He got his stuff, we picked up his girlfriend, went to Graeter's for ice cream, took Mary Linda home, and headed back to Middletown.  We watched a spectacular lightening show until we were about 10 minutes from the house, when the deluge of rain and hail began.  The traffic lights were out as was power throughout our neighborhood.  The power came back on sometime during the night, but I had to be at a venue early this morning to help with the spring conference of the

Miami Valley Association of Volunteer Administrators

and just now have had time to verify that my computer was not fried last night (Whew!) and catch up on the posts.
