Listening to The Roches sing their song "The [Commuter] Train," and thinking of all our dear NYC DRs.  Yes, even the one currently displaced to the Left Coast.  And the one displaced to the - well, I wanted to say Midwest, but Ohio isn't really the Midwest yet.

To some people, anything west of the NJ Turnpike is the midwest for all intents and purposes. ;)

Great casting news for THE FIRST NUDIE MUSICAL read thru.  I remember seeing Mr Patrick Cassidy in a movie called Nickel Mountain, which I watched in order to see Mr Michael Cole....  Mr Cole was very well into looking middle aged and Mr Cassidy was very handsome.

I also saw a LOT of Mr Cassidy in Bay City Blues on television.

Well I am off to work, of course.  And of course Miss Trish cannot come in (Again) today, so my nephew CJ is working with me.  He is scheduled to be there at ten, but I don't expect him to be there before noon....if then.

Just makes Saturday difficult - doing a reading and also watching the store and the register....someone always has to wait!

So....it will be a frustrating day for the customers and the clerk at World of Wisdom today.

Great TOD

For me they were usually late 50's-70's character actors who made the rounds on tv shows. Remember there were only three US networks back then. They would show up games shows, talk shows et al.

Most of them the careers last that long which is not bad for an actor.

Now I don't know why, but

Carol Worthington was the first person that popped into my mind.

I am having allergy problems, hence I am up at five-thirty in the morning.  I'm out of my good allergy pills (I'll get some later) and I've taken an Actifed, but they simply don't work without the real Actifed stuff.

Oh, and the president of the Stephen Sondheim Society in London asked me the following question - I'm sure one of you can answer it:

Do you know anyone who has a recording of Tick Tick Boom which includes the phone call from Stephen Sondheim?
Thanks

I have the feeling time is of the essence, so I'm interested to know if anyone does have it.

I suppose I'll try to get some more sleep now.  Although, I'm really not feeling tired.
