Well, you've read the notes, the notes were just sort of akeeta, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're over akeeta.

The sparkling prize was a lovely tan colored t-shirt with the "Murder at the Grove" title (in the same color and font as the book) on the front!

"Uncle Ron" one of Father's friends was a Fireman.  When I was a pre-schooler I wanted to be a fireman.

(My Dad was Santa at the Fire Brigade's Christmas function - I of course was not aware of that until I was at least 5)

I loved to visit the Fire Station and I also loved to stop in at the Blacksmith's shop which was close by.

And the word of the day is: ABSTEMIOUS!
And then there was Carl, the ABSTEMIOUS bowler - since he did everything sparingly, he never could bowl a strike!

This all sounds wonderfully euphamistic to me!  What a joyous childhood you had!   :D

Good Morning to you too, DR SWW.

As for Topic of the Day...

I'm not exactly sure what triggered the interest, but I wanted to be an astronomer. I wanted to look at and into the night sky for a living. Constellations, magnitudes, nebulae, galaxies, planets... I even wrote to NASA and a bunch of observatories asking if they had any free material they could send me... And they did! I particularly remember a package of posters that the Goddard Space Flight Center sent me: the Space Shuttle, the Solar System, the Night Sky... All the posters were ones that were currently on sale in their gift shop and through their catalog, and they sent them to me for free!
