I think I may have set up a dangerous/unfortunate precedent over the past week. Yes, I should be productive today here around the apartment: clean, organize, sort and purge, etc. But all I really want to do is wander around the City again this afternoon. Hmm... Maybe it's my way of saying Goodbye to my Thirties.

First time I ever heard Sing A Rainbow was when Eric Michael Gillette sent me his first CD - that was the title. I now have the sheet music, which features the ad art from Pete Kelly's Blues.

Jose, you sound rather wistful (alternate word of the day) about the end of your Thirties. I suppose that is only natural; but I assure you that there a lot of men who are turning 40 this year who can only wish they were as good looking as you, or that they were living the life that you are currently living in New York.

*I'm also still a little thrown by the fact that Labor Day actually falls on the First Day of September this year. I have my usual fall SETC conference - which always occurs the first weekend after Labor Day - and I was surprised when I they sent me my flight itinerary, and it showed that I was flying down to Charlotte on September 5. What?!?!? Oh... OK.. There are some other post-Labor day events and gigs coming up that just seem to be a bit "early" this year.
