As I said last night, I'll be working on KILL BILL VOL. 1 today on Blu-ray disc. I was surprised the movie is less than two hours. It's the second half that runs longer, I see. I likely won't get to it until this weekend.

I need to get a haircut.

I'm starting to look like Shaggy on Scooby-Doo Where Are You.

But my posture is much better, which is a good thing.

I know you all may not remember me, but I used to be a HHW gratuitous poster. Lots of good and trivial reasons for being E and T, but I'll spare ya...

I'm so behind in reading the posts, so I have no idea which vibes to send or snarky remarks to post or gratuitous comments to make (aren't you glad?!) but I do need to ask DR Laura:

Are you, your house, your trees, power poles, etc. still intact after those whopper storms you Valley folks had the other night? Hope all is well at your place.

DR JEANNE these are the last few days of the LONG Jupiter retrograde, so health setbacks and transportation delays and problems can be expected.

It will end on September 7!  So we must hang in there for a few days.  In the meantime we have a Sun/Saturn conjunction today that compels us to apply our energy to ourselves and new projects.

That is all -- I gotta scram, but I hope to be back more consistently (one of my good reasons was our computer was being difficult and wouldn't let me enter the chat room -- I think it's fixed, we'll see...)

Best friend John was at the beach over the weekend, so we couldn't do lunch yesterday. We're doing it today, and I must head down now to get cleaned up.

To wax political for just a moment...

Obama says that people's families are "off limits."

But they are not.  To the extent that evangelicals and conservatives vilify my family in their cynical attempt to garner hate votes, I shall be scrutinizing their families in equal measure.  And so far, their actions don't measure up to their words.

IMHO.

Today is the last day of my long weekend and I will plan to watch as many motion pictures on DVD as I can...in between naps and walking dog Bosco.

Well, Maybe the republicans are hoping to catch the pregnant teen vote in the pro-life campaign? Can't we have a VP who at least knows about birth control and urges its practice?

Lots of kids for a poor wife are dandy
Girls of fashion can be choosy
Birth control and the modus operandi
Are much too good for the average floozy!

This'll get comments!

Coincidently, I watched several dog movies this weekend...1939s ROOKIE COP starred Tim Holt and Ace the Wonder Dog...and two Bollywood movies, TOOFANI TARZAN (1937) and CIRCUS QUEEN (1944) both featured Dog Moti, or Professor Moti, as he was credited in the Tarzan film.

Good morning, good day, how are you this beautiful day?  I am up and trying to de-groggify so I can joggify.  Then I must package up several orders (including a rare order for New Guy In Town).  Interestingly, I seem to be down to only a handful of copies of New Guy In Town and that makes no sense to me.  I'm sure I pressed 1000 of them and I'm equally as sure that I did not sell anywhere near that number.  Maybe I only did 500, but that would seem odd to me.

As for the Topic of the Day...

A crazy poodle named, Princess, when my family lived in Seattle.  I was eight years old, I believe.  She was only with us for a couple of months due to various problems - which included biting some of the neighbors.  :-\  Now that I think of it, I believe it was my mother who wanted to add a pet to the household, since I don't seem to recall me or or my brothers being "pet people" at the time.  -Although, my brothers Don and Michael have dogs now.

Oh, and we also had a couple of gerbils and hamsters from time to time - all of whom seemed to be able to chew through their crates with their very sharp teeth.

Now to deal with other matters,  like my health.  Two hours till the doctor.

I decided that I wasn't up to being out last night and I gave the ticket to a friend.  Maybe on Saturday, I'll try to get a TDF for the matinee.

DR elmore - If it's possible, see if your doctor - or the HIP office - has some sort of meal-by-meal plan for diabetics.  This will help you with your grocery shopping, as well as help you plan your meals for each day.  -I have a feeling that Ziploc Bags and Gladware containers will be very handy over the next couple of weeks.
