:)

George!  You surprise me.  That was rather cruel.

DR Jennifer, I enjoyed Dancing With the Stars, as always.  I think I'm more traditional than you . I didn't enjoy Lacey the kid from NSYNC.  My mom thought Cloris Leachman was drunk. I don't know, but she was way over the top and went past funny for me. I was really surprised by Warren Sapp.  I liked Toni Braxton, Misty May-Tranor, Maurice Green and a couple others.    Don't have a favorite yet and I think seeing them all dance the other style tonight...well all but one couple will be good.

I don't choose by the professional. I look at the star. How good they are in the beginning, how they improve etc.

There are certain pros that i love (like julianne hough and karina). So i sometimes root for them.

See i thought misty may was okay. But she's not my cup of tea. Same with maurice greene. I'm not crazy about cheryl. And his personality is not for me. I thought toni braxton was very good (but i doubt i'll root for her). And i do agree that warren sapp impressed me a lot (although i doubt i will root for him).

I had a full evening of viewing tonight. And I would have gotten more watched if I hadn't gotten a very lengthy phone call.

Back from Yom Kippur rehearsals.  Where they fed us with lasagna.  Go figure.

I began by watching the rest of SLEUTH. Pinter certainly changed the third act! And the second act was made much less effective by the choices for wardrobe and makeup.

Nope, nothing here that I'd ever want to see again.

Next, I opened my next review set - FRIDAY THE 13TH - THE SERIES, and watched the first episode. It's an anthology show that really has nothing to do with the slasher film series. It's about an antique shop with cursed objects that the new owners are trying to retrieve before they cause more deaths.

The first episode dealt with an enchanted doll who caused death. Sound familiar? Of course it does! It's just a one hour rehash of "Living Doll" from THE TWILIGHT ZONE.

Next I watched tonight's season premiere of NCIS. My goodness, they certainly didn't waste much time getting the team back together.

And I'm sorry to say that the last minute revelation I could see coming from a mile away. I guess this will be a long running story arc this season.

Next I watched tonight's FRINGE. Just an OK episode even though I did enjoy seeing David Lansbury and Peter Hermann as guest stars.

I'll watch this one more week and then drop it if the show doesn't hook me more.

I too watched THE WORST WEEK. The previews looked like it would be a very funny show...and it could have been...but it just didn't quite work and it seemes like it was a show that was full of itself, if that makes sense...and when the scene with the goose in the kitchen happened...well, I turned it off after that, that was just too much.

I ended my evening going back to FRIDAY THE 13TH and watching another episode (there are 26 in the set, so I've got a LONG way to go with this one.)

This episode had to do with a sacred pen that could cause death if the person's name was inscribed in a book using the pen. There were a couple of grisly deaths in the show though not much is actually shown, of course.

Guilt and remorse.

To be a true Yom Kippur lasagna, wouldn't it need to be layered with Chinese food?

DR MattH - I remember making sure to stay up late to catch "Friday the 13th" series. And it also hopped channels every now and then since it was a syndicated show. Of course, I just kept waiting - well, hoping - for episodes where the young male lead would appear shirtless, but even though he hardly ever did I still liked the show. ;D

Back from the play reading, which was fun, and about which more later.  Must try to sit on my couch like so much fish for at least a few minutes.
