My heart-felt congratulations, Ginny.

Thanks, DR TCB!

And yes, yesterday did wipe out a large junk of my retirement funds.  The good news is that I still have a job.  The bad news is that Ginny and I will not get to frolic together in retirement meadows (And don't go there!).

There are moments when I wonder if I've made the right decision, financially.  But, it's too late now to change my mind and I'm ready to move on.

I also want to send my congrats to you, DR Ginny.  If all works out, I have 17 years to go.

Thank you, DR Danise.  Hang in there and enjoy the job security for a while!

The breakdowns continue at Chez Vix

The latest casualty is Vixdad's knee -  he thinks its tendonitis buthe Doctor can't fit him in until tomorrow to confirm the diagnosis - meanwhile  poor Vixdad can barely move

Continuing the doctior news: I went to see a new GYN today - what fun.

Why is it that every doctor I see lately  wants me to go have a camera poked into places I do not consider suitable for filming?

I don't think I mentioned that I agree with DR MBARNUM that REVENGE OF THE CREATURE and (to a lesser degree) THE CREATURE WALKS AMONG US were better for me than the original CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON.

~~~BETTER KNEE VIBES TO THE VIXDAD~~~
*I guess there must be something in the air... My left knee is finally, almost back to normal after about a week and a half.  Of course, as I've been walking around the past few days, from the way some of the muscles in my legs feels, I can definitely tell that I've been compensating for the bad knee.  S-t-r-e-t-c-h...
Well, I guess the good news is that my job is safe--at least until next year when the budget process starts all over again.  This did help me  learn that I'm in the middle of pack so unless something really bad happens, I don't think I have anything to worry about.
This is very good news. :)
Yup, week and a half, actually.  It'll cost me 5 vacation days, but allow me to be home with my family during Christmas and New Year's weeks.  I will forfeit the paid holiday for Dec. 31, though, because our union contract requires that you work the day after a holiday to get paid for it.  And, the state retirement system requires that if you work into a month, you work to the end of the month.  Not having to drive 50 miles a day throughout January is more than worth the one day of holiday pay.
I watched THE MENTALIST this evening and liked it....it is a nice show to follow NCIS...and the show is well cast and everyone works together well....so I think I have found my Tuesday evening home for the season.
I am wondering if the composer of the new KRITZERLAND release is the composer of the score of CAT WOMEN OF THE MOON.
Remember I was gone for many days, so I may have missed a lot of guesses, I am reading clues for the first time today.
Certainly the composer's name is on a list of possibilities over at FSM.  We haven't really done clews here, just there.
The main clew re who the composer is is that the composer would be in most people's pantheon of great film composers.  Only Mr. Tiomkin fits, but I've already said that the composer in question did films through the 90s.
