As Harold Hill would have said, "I always think there's a Page Six, kid."

Back from a really terrific dinner with Miss Julie Reiber, who's just a living doll.  We went to a Thai place right across from the stage door of the Wicked theater.  I had a small salad and Pad Thai and both were out of this world.  I will say that NY has Thai food that puts LA to shame.

Ahh, you don't scare me.  You are all the way across the country.  Pick on the east coast HHWs.

Just viewed the powerpoint slides that Mrs. Wechter created for Monday's benefit - they look great (it's how we introduce each performer - an album cover slide with a pic of Burt - the performer's name is at the top and then below the pic it says "Sings Bacharach."

Looks to me like an excuse to not be as svelt and trim as our BK!

Actually, it looks good!

We need a smiley that shows licking lips.

Good evening!  I'm back at the hotel after a very nice day with jhvw's family.  It was fun to see everyone, but we've definitely been here long enough.

I went to the exercise room again tonight. I don't do nearly as much as BK, but did enough on the bike and the treadmill to feel better.

We'll leave here about 6:30 AM and do our 8 hour drive to get home.

We did go shopping this morning. It wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be.  The deals at Macy's were excellent and we got there late morning, but still in time for the morning deals

It was an interesting combination.  I've had a Chocolate Stout before, as well as a Vanilla-Chocolate Ice Cream that was "fortified" with Stout, but this was the first time I partook of the components "separately".  It wasn't as tasty as I thought it would be, but that's not necessarily a bad thing.  The most interesting thing about the concoction was that the chocolate gelato managed to mute the sweeter, smoother notes in the stout, and that resulted in a bitter, hoppy finish.  However, when sampling the Oatmeal Stout on its own, it finished very smooth.

*However, Steve's creme brulee was quite tasty!

Jon is still on the mend with his medical problems. He's lost a lot of weight and has to be very careful about what he eats, but he's in good spirits and it was really really nice to spend some time with him and his younger brother Andy

One thing that I have learned this Thanksgiving is that my turkey-carving skills leave much to be desired.

No pictures.  Let it suffice to quote Marlon Brando in Apocalypse Now: "The horror, the horror."

Haven't you learned anything from Alton Brown?

Did someone inquire about a recording of GANTRY here?  Email me or PM me. . .

That was DR JMK. He also posted the query on the CASTRECL too. (I think.)

The Closer team has been onlining some teaser spots for the new upcoming shows in January. After 4 years, it's weird not being a part of it. Sort of like watching someone else raise your kids, or running into your ex with his new partner. Even though you may have moved on to someone better, there's still a little pang.

...Or when a new cast member goes into a show, and...

Back from the fitness room - it wasn't quite so cold down there, which was very nice.  I did 7.2 miles and notched up the speed the entire time, so I was averaging seven-minute miles, which is half the time from my long jog.  I did fifty minutes and am sore and pooped, not necessarily in that order.  Drinking water, and soon will start on the script.

Seven-minute miles!?!?!?  Good for you!  -That's practically racing pace.

Had some great times this evening watching just exactly whatever I wanted.

I began by watching the Blu-ray of A CHRISTMAS STORY. Yes, because many of the scenes were filmed with soft focus filters, it's not as sharp as something like CASINO ROYALE. However, quite a few scenes do have that HD "pop," and I laughed and enjoyed it as much as always.

DR TCB - one of the OTHER stars of THE GAY DECEIVERS is the tragically short lived Mr Kevin Coughlin who was one of my favorite actors.....in movies and on television.....

I am certainly intrigued by Mr Alain Delon....and any fan of THE TALENTED MR RIPLEY would do well to check out the French version from 1960 directed by Rene Clement.

I also saw an interesting Australian movie tonight called Lantana starring Mr Anthony Paglia and Ms Barbara Hershey, among others.....

Next, I played A CHARLIE BROWN THANKSGIVING from the DVD of it I have. I missed both showings this week on ABC, so I wanted to give it its annual spin. Not as good as the earlier Peanuts specials, it's an OK outing at best, despite winning several Emmys.

Next I watched three more OUR GANG shorts which finished disc one in the set. All brought back many strong memories, and several moments had me howling.

Tonight's MONK episode had a couple of funny moments (and some irritating ones, too). The murderer wasn't too hard to spot since there were so few suspects, though the mystery involving the body was an OK one.
