Aside from NO, NO, NANETTE and ALL ABOUT US, what other shows feature Atlantic City?

That film with Susan Sarandon and Burt Lancaster, screenplay by John Guare, called ATLANTIC CITY!

DRLaura & Sandra, the day after Thanksgiving the holiday lights go on in Ashland.  It is beautiful here then and a perfect time to visit.  Not having a fire escape we can’t entertain in the grand manor as DR elmore, but we could manage somehow.

The iPhone looks like a terrific gadget but I agree with BK on waiting out the first generation on products like this.  I would rather wait until the second or third version comes out, with the bugs resolved and with additional features.
A disintegrator ray would be real cool!

My observation, also. So many tech gadgets (and software) are brought to market too quickly.

Did Apple announce a disintegrator ray? :)

I wonder which salt water taffy DR FJL will go for--Schriver's or Fralingers?

Not yet, but they are so leading edge technology-wise, it's only a matter of time.

I kept thinking about those DON GIOVANNI photos, "why do I know the name Kyle Ketelsen?"  Duh! He's on the cover of the new CLASSICAL SINGER magazine.  I read it last week while waiting for materials at the NYPL Music Collection.

So much of the moviegoing experience is tied to how you were feeling at the time you saw things - what your mood was, how your life was, etc.

Yes. I also feel that some things are just in fashion when we see a film and we're quite used to them, whereas years later we look back--out of context--and they just look dumb.

The Eagle has landed!  Well, at least DR MusicGuy's plane, and he's in a cab right now heading into midtown.

So, I need to run a few errands anyway, so, I think I shall take care of those now, and meet up with DR MusicGuy in a bit.

Laters...

Received in today's mail DVDs of "Yanks" and "Love At Stake".

Both are favorites, for very different reasons.

I got my shipping notice from Amazon about the Cult Classics sets in the early hours of this morning, so I'm hoping they'll be here on Wednesday.

I prefer the score of GODSPELL to the score of JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR, and I would rather see GODSPELL on stage, too.

The movie of GODSPELL is hard to sit through now, but I did like it in the day.

This afternoon, lunch got a very late start, and I had company when I got back home, so I only had time for two MURDER SHE WROTE episodes this afternoon.

In the first, Jessica was called to bail out an old student of hers, not a lawyer accused of murder. The student was played by Megan Mullally!

Also in this episode were Denver Pyle, William Moses, Cliff DeYoung, Barbara Bain, and Chuck Connors.

BK, I just spoke to Josh Clayton and gave him your email address. I think he may send you a resume.  He knows Fred Lassen, says his work is good, and that if Fred wanted the job he'd love to play the Keyboard 2 part.

The second one involved a reclusive star actress played by Jean Peters who got inadvertantly tied into a robbery and a murder. Among the guest stars were John McMartin, Michael COnstantine, the very handsome Greg Naughton, and Luci Arnaz playing one half of a very funny Cagney and Lacey parody.
